Auckland Domain is where the Auckland Museum stands. It's also Auckland's oldest park and one of the largest in the city.
Auckland Domain is just a short walk from Newmarket and right off of Parnell/New Market. At the top of Auckland Domain is the Auckland Museum, where residents get in free and tourists are encouraged to donate $10. It's a nice spot for a walk, a game of touch rugby and there are also cricket pitches too.
Auckland Domain is home to the Auckland Museum (well worth a visit), the winter gardens where you can see many different kinds of flowers - both native and tropical, and ponds where you can feed ducks. The domain also offers panoramic views over Auckland city. In the summertime there are often free concerts in the evenings.
