Vienna Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
If it wasn't for this encounter, Vienna in my heart is still what I thought. A large, transparent floor-to-ceiling window next to the clean street decorated the restaurant. Several musicians played Mozart on the stage. A group of dignified audience sat down on the stage and enjoyed the soft and sweet music while enjoying the coffee in their hands. . However, when I really strolled through the streets of Vienna, I realized that Vienna is not only sitting in the cafe to enjoy an afternoon of Mozart, but also the oil paintings hanging on the walls of the cafe, as well as the cafes. Even the various styles of architecture around the caf... all this is what Vienna really looks like. Vienna is not large, only about 1.7 million people live, but it is in the forefront of the "world's most livable city" list. Because it has four distinct seasons, there are bright but not hot summers, just like the cold winter but not fatal winter is like in the near future, because it can drink tap water when it opens the tap... too much
Vienna is a hedonistic city
"World of Yesterday" in Zweig, Vienna is described in his writings: living in this city is pleasant, it accepts all strangers, in this way Relaxing and enjoying life is the most natural thing. Military, political, and commercial are not the top priorities. An ordinary Viennese first concerned about the debates in the early morning or the world's major events, but the performances of the theater.
Although it was once one of the major European countries, although it was the seat of the Habs dynasty that ruled Central Europe for nearly 700 years, and now mention Austria again, it is the capital of music. After all, there are seven musical superstars: Gluck, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Johann Strauss. So when everyone mentions the Danube, the first thing that comes to mind is not a river, but the first "Blue Danube", although I can firmly say after this reading: The Danube is really not blue~
Hang out in the capital, passing by a very well-known wafer shop, pink dress. Tender girl's heart.
After getting tired, try the best-known Little Red Riding Hood coffee.
You can see that Princess Sissi and Mozart are very important images.
On the Danube River, listen to the daily blue Danube, watch the open-air music, opera or concert videos at the Vienna Town Hall Square, go to the open-air concert at the leisure salon in the city park, and enjoy the Salzburg. Music is given a spiritual "music bridge", or you can sit in a small hotel or small cafe all over the town, and you can also hear live performances of local folk songs and classical music. Every day in Austria, we have to pass by a lot of free open-air concerts and absorb a lot of music air. Living in Austria, I feel as if I am fascinated by the intoxicating music melody in my blood vessels.

Royal Vienna Palace - love sissi & frank
Beautiful summer palace where Sissi lived. Grand tour 42 rooms. It's worth while to buy a Sissi combiticket, then you can skip the line and you don't have a timeslot.
You can enter the Palace Park free of charge during opening hours. If you wish to visit to the Schönbrunn special attractions, such as the Privy Garden, the Orangery Garden or the Maze, you need to purchase individual admission tickets
This tour includes 40 rooms and takes approximately 50 minutes. Besides the 22 rooms seen on the Imperial Tour you'll also see the precious 18th-century interiors from the time of Maria Theresa.
Lastly, you're not allowed to take photos inside. So I would suggest sticking to the outside of Schonbrunn Palace. The grounds are really what makes this place so amazing! And most of the grounds are totally free to walk around and explore.
Valid for single admission to all included attractions on the day chosen. This ticket does not include a guided tour. Audio guides or printed descriptions for
€26.00

lovely city 🌆
i travelled to Vienna with some collegues of mine for only a weekend, and we had an absolute blast! It was a bit windy, but the temperature was perfect to go outside with a light jacket. We visited lots of museums and places and couldn’t have it enough 🤍
I suggest to buy a Vienna City Card: you can travel with all the public transports plus it gives you some discounts on ticket museums!
Even if it is a little far from the center, I suggest you to visit the Schönbrunn Palace because it is immaculate: you will spend an entire day in it and the gardens are so beautiful with different activities and mazes 😻

Experiencing fall in Vienna, Austria

Check out some stunning photos of the Schönbrunn Palace from my recent visit to Vienna, Austria. It was once the home of the Holy Roman Emperor and the imperial family, the Habsburgs. Think of Maria Theresa, Holy Roman Empress and mother of Marie Antoinette. Yes, the last Queen of France! It was spectacular to walk in the gardens of the palace and know that you might have just stood or sat in the very same spot as the last Queen of France nearly 250 years ago.
Schönbrunn is easily accessible from Vienna. If you take the underground metro, use the U4 (green color line) service and alight at Schönbrunn. Buses go there too! I took 10A to Schloss Schönbrunn. The authentic Viennese experience would be to go there by tram. A couple of buses do go to Schloss Schönbrunn too.
There are many things to do at the palace. I recommend going for a stroll in the beautiful gardens, especially during the start of fall (now!). There are many lovely statues and fountains to awe at too. For the little ones, head over to the Children's Museum.
For a full afternoon at the palace, I suggest getting the Classic Pass for €31. You get a tour (audio guide), a visit to the gardens, maze, as well as a viewing terrace with gorgeous panoramic views of Vienna.
What a charming trip back in time! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fortress Hohensalzburg Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
The fourth largest city in Austria, the capital of Salzburg state, is Salzburg city, which is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Salzburg is the gateway to the Alps, and the beautiful Salzach River divides the city into the old town and the new town. The city has churches and monasteries with unique features and a long history.
In the center of the city stands the Mirabell Palace, along with its palace gardens and fountains, as well as the Salzburg Fortress, which can be seen from anywhere in the palace gardens or the city and is a symbol of Salzburg.
Salzburg's most famous pedestrian street in the old town is Getreidegasse, which is full of various gift shops and food snack shops. Number 9 on this street is the building where Mozart was born, which is now the Mozart Museum.
In the city, there is the first Baroque-style church, the first monastery in the German-speaking area, and the oldest surviving convent in the world.
When traveling to Austria, Salzburg is a must-visit place. Walking in the exceptionally beautiful and green Salzburg, which is shaded by trees, is worth a visit.
Fortress Hohensalzburg
Fortress Hohensalzburg is one of my most favourite places that I have visited in Salzburg Austria. It is a beautiful medieval fortress in Salzburg City. You can take funicular to to the top of the castle. On top of the fortress, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city. You can also enter the fortress whereby you can study the history behind Fortress Hohensalzburg.
Going up to the Fortress Hohensalzburg
#celebratewithtrip
The Fortress Hohensalzburg is an important landmark of Salzburg. It depicts the history of the city and it is still a very popular tourists attraction in the city.
In the history of Salzburg, the start of building the Fortress was in year 1077.
I admired the beauty of the Fortress and how it stand tall, massive and majestic on the top of the hill! It was a pleasure looking at although it was already my second time visiting the city but it still a place that I keep looking forward to.
As we went up there to see the Fortress, I kept on looking at it not worrying about the time. I just wanted to enjoy the view while reading the history on how it was built and the people behind building this large medieval fortress.
Going to Salzburg from Munich by train is just fewer than 2 hours and if you’re lucky enough to book your ticket earlier, you might get the best price!

Beautiful Hohensalzburg Castle in Austria
Salzburg fortress or Hohensalzburg castle is a stunning historic castle, high above the baroque towers of the city and not too far from the Central parks and avenues, it's really worth a visit.
🚌 Hohensalzburg Castle is at the top of the Festungsberg, 200m above the city’s old town. It is a 15-minute walk from the center or a one-minute ride up in a glass funicular, that starts from 'Festungsgasse'.
🎫 A basic Ticket is 12,90€ currently, discounts for kids available. 🕛 I think a two hours visit is enough to learn about basic history and take some nice pictures.
