World Famous Turkish Ceramics 🎨
#wecreate 📍 Bezirhane Ceramic, Avanos, Nevsehir Turkiye
If you’re planning to visit Turkey's famed Cappadocia, make sure to stop by Bezirhane Ceramic in Avanos (Nevsehir) to buy handmade pottery or you can learn at their pottery making workshop and to make it yourself.
Avanos is very popular neighbourhood for hand painted crafts for generations of craftsmen’s with the red clay used to create their famous art. Inside the manufacture there is a workshop which showcases and teaches how to make a pottery and yes of course! you can try it with a guidance. Those delicate vibrant and bold coloured ceramics and carpets waiting to be discovered here.
What I bought? A Turkish coffee set (hand-painted)
You have options to buy printed or hand painted items. Prints are relatively cheaper if you just want to take back home little souvenir. 🫖
Prices are varied, try to haggle but be respectful ;)

Avanos is a small town in central Turkey. It is definitely not a touristy place but is very close to the open sights of Cappadocia - the most beautiful place in the region. Anyway it is a nice option for a quick stopover but you will need a car.

Spring Travel in Turkey | The Pottery Town of Avanos Citywalk
When traveling in Cappadocia, Turkey, compared to the hot air balloon and Instagram-famous town—'Göreme', I would prefer its tranquil neighbor, the pottery town—'Avanos'.
/
⭕️ 'About Avanos':
Avanos is located to the north of the town of Göreme, a 20-plus minute drive away, and is a famous pottery town in the central part of Cappadocia in Turkey.
/
⭕️ 'Citywalk Route': Bus Station—Red River—McDonald's—Ceramic Street—Viewpoint
✔️ Red River:
At the center of the town flows Turkey's longest inland river—the Red River, which boasts beautiful scenery on both banks and is home to many ducks, creating a picturesque view! Many locals also come here to feed the ducks!
✔️ McDonald's:
There is a McDonald's with French architectural style by the Red River, which looks more like a small museum or art gallery, uniquely beautiful.
✔️ Ceramic Street:
In the town center, there are many ceramic studios, pottery workshops, and porcelain shops, as well as cafes and guesthouses.
I especially recommend buying fridge magnets and souvenirs here, as the products are exquisite and affordably priced!
✔️ Viewpoint:
Walking up to the higher parts of the town, there is a small square on the hillside with an excellent viewing platform that offers a panoramic view of the entire town.
/
⭕️ 'Transport Tips':
You can take a minibus (with the word AVANOS in big letters) from Göreme bus station to reach Avanos town center, with one departure every hour, costing 40 Turkish Lira per person.
To return, you can wait for the bus at a stop near Ceramic Street.
/
⭕️ 'Travel Tips':
✔️ The town is small, making it very suitable for a Citywalk, which is really comfortable.
✔️ The cost of living in the town is much cheaper compared to Göreme, so it's recommended to shop here!
✔️ Pay attention to the bus schedule, with the last bus around six o'clock, so be mindful of your playtime.
Turkish Journey
Avanos town is located in the triangle area of the main scenic area of Cappadocia, and Turkey's longest inland river, the Red River, flows through the town center. The river water is clear, and groups of swans swim in the water. The water of the Red River is rich in iron, and the soil taken from the Red River is very suitable for making pottery, so Avanos town is famous for ceramics and is known as the hometown of ceramics. Pottery is made from the red clay in the Red River and the white clay on the mountain. We visited a local ceramic workshop to see the whole process of traditional handmade crafts such as material selection, molding, modeling, painting, glazing, and firing. Walking into the store, there are various ceramic artworks, dazzling and eye-catching, including household pottery and craft pottery. The shape of the Turkish wine pot is the most unique, and the patterns on the pottery are full of national characteristics.

It's as if the sky itself comes alive with a ballet of vibrant colors and graceful movements. The sense of camaraderie among the balloons adds to the enchantment, making you feel like a part of something truly extraordinary.
As the sun begins its ascent, the world around you transforms. The soft hues of dawn cast a mesmerizing glow over the otherworldly landscapes of Cappadocia, painting the rugged terrain and ancient rock formations with a palette of gold and rose. Hot Air Balloon Cappadocia Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Tour: Exploring the Art Created by Earth
Fly in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia! This is my second luxurious hot air balloon flight in Cappadocia since 2014!
Cappadocia is listed as a World Heritage Site, known for its hot air balloon flights, but in fact it is a rare 'comprehensive heritage', combining 'natural landscape' and 'human history'.
This land stretches about 50 kilometers from north to south, eroded by long-term wind and rain. As shown in the photo, there are unique rocks that cannot be seen elsewhere, including rocks like chimneys and hills. It's simply the art created by the earth!!
In addition, a huge underground city has formed deep underground, hundreds of meters below the ground. These underground cities were built by Christians about 1600 years ago. This is where the persecuted hid. Even from the hot air balloon, you can see many entrance caves on the rock wall. (You can look for them in the photos)
Hot air balloons are fragile objects that require specific meteorological conditions to fly. Until the day before, I didn't know if I could fly, but this time during my stay in Cappadocia, I flew every day😭✨Amazing, right!? (By the way, it is said that there was no flight the day before and the next day)
The flight time is from 7 am to 8 am, lasting an hour. That day there were about 100 hot air balloons. The hot air balloons floated up and down like marshmallows, and the highest flight altitude that day actually reached 600 meters (!). Along the way, we also saw the sunrise, which was a very satisfying aerial walk.
Many hot air balloon companies allow 'rescheduling to the next day when unable to fly', so be sure to check when booking✌
Bring your beloved to romantic Turkey🇹🇷❤️🔥
In the heart of Turkey lies a place where dreams take flight among the clouds - Cappadocia. Here are a few useful tips if you would like to take the Hot air balloon with your Beloved💞⬇️.
🎈Timing is Everything: The magic of Cappadocia's hot air balloons unfolds during the early morning hours, just before sunrise🌅(around 5 am).
🎈Find the right accommodation: Make sure to stay in 🪵Goreme🪵 when visiting Cappadocia. This is where the hot air balloons take off, so you'll have the best chance to see them. If you're feeling adventurous, try a cave hotel⛰ for a unique experience.
🎈Book in Advance: Cappadocia is a popular destination for adventurers and romantics alike💗. Secure your spot in the sky to ensure that you will not miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.❗️
🎈Choose the best viewing spots: Don't miss out on the Sunset/Sunrise/Balloons Highest View spots. They offer a panoramic view of the balloons filling the sky from all directions. Get there early to secure your spot and enjoy the breathtaking sight. Remember, the balloons take off after sunrise, so plan accordingly.
🎈Dress the Part: Dress warmly, as it can get chilly during the early morning flights.🥶Additionally, wearing layers🧣 will allow you to adapt to the changing temperatures as you ascend.
🎈Extend the Magic: The adventure doesn't have to end once your balloon touches the ground. Spend a few extra days exploring Cappadocia's unique rock formations, underground cities, and charming villages hand in hand with your partner.🇹🇷
As you ascend into the Cappadocian skies, let the breathtaking landscapes mirror the beauty of your relationship. With careful planning and a touch of romance, you can transform your journey into a love story chapter that will be cherished forever. 🎈🌄💑

Goreme Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Incredible sunrise in Cappadocia
This morning was one of the most magical in my life. I woke up at 4 a.m., opened the window and listened to the sounds outside. It seems quiet… When suddenly the sounds of popping and gas burners began to be heard in the distance - and I realized that it was time to hurry!
Just an hour later, I was standing on top of a mountain in the city of Goreme and watched the sky fill with dozens and hundreds of balloons. God, am I really seeing this with my own eyes? To this day, when I remember this feeling, I get goosebumps 😍

Missing Cappadocia so much!
Cappadocia was such a lovely place! Beautiful scenery and weather mashaAllah. I’d go again and again, and hope I could afford to ride the hot air balloon 🎈 next time 🤣
Goreme
Göreme is a village of around 2,000 people in Nevşehir province in Central Anatolia. It is well known for its ''fairy chimneys', rock formations, many of which were hollowed out in the Middle Ages to create houses, churches and 'underground cities'. Göreme was formerly known as Korama, Matiana, Macan and Avcilar.
Come to Goreme, Turkey, and experience the thrilling ATV ride
Goreme, a small town in Turkey, is known as an open-air museum, a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site, famous for its unique landscape and romantic hot air balloons, attracting tourists from all over the world.
The town now exists for tourism, with various specialty shops and well-developed, safe tour routes. You can idle in a cave hotel or freely explore the national geological park. You can also join a day tour, among which, besides hot air balloons, the ATV Tour is undoubtedly the most popular activity.
🌟Highlights:
ATV, also known as an all-terrain vehicle, has a cool design and is suitable for any terrain. The downside is that speed and balance must be properly controlled, especially when turning or going uphill or downhill.
You can choose to rent and drive on your own, but most people prefer to join a tour group. The sunset route is the most popular; departing in the afternoon is neither hot nor tiring. You can experience speed and passion along with the tour, meandering through the strangely shaped valleys, stopping occasionally to take photos, beautiful, lively, and safe.
Especially when returning after watching the sunset, all the teams converge on one road, marching in a grand procession, which is spectacular!
💰Price: 180RMB for one person per vehicle, 220RMB for two people per vehicle (for reference only)
🕙Duration: About 2-3 hours
🗓Approximate Itinerary:
1. Wait at the hotel, the driver will pick you up and take you to the starting point. A group usually consists of about 10 vehicles, generally two people per vehicle.
2. After arriving at the company, you will be assigned masks and helmets, and you can choose your vehicle and get accustomed to it.
3. Departure, the route includes brief stops at about 5 points, with the climax being the sunset, where you can admire the golden Rose Valley under the afterglow and a 360-degree panoramic view.
4. After watching, regroup and ride back to the starting point. It is customary to open a bottle of champagne to celebrate, and finally, you will be taken back to your hotel.
📝Tips:
1. Masks and sunglasses are a must because the route is dusty;
2. No matter the season, it's best to wear a thin jacket, as it can be a bit chilly in the morning and evening.
3. Pay special attention when turning or going uphill, as the front of the vehicle is heavy and lacks agility. Be cautious with the brakes or steering to avoid drifting and potential accidents.
