Melia Ho Tram Beach Resort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Weekend Getaway with Family
#weekendgetaways
Melia Ho Tram is about 2.5 hour drive from Ho Cho Minh City. Due to its close proximity, our family usually spend our weekend relaxing and chilling here.
The resort comprises a hotel tower and many private villas ranging from 1-4 bedrooms.
If you book the villa, you can enjoy the Level experience which is a separate pool for villa guests and free happy hour drinks.
We love the breakfast as the hotel sometimes have “special” section like the Spanish theme we had during this stay.
One improvement I hope for is the restaurant F&B. When we were there, the food option for lunch is quite limited. Hope Salt restaurant can bring in more items into its menu too.
Excellent breakfast spread at Melia Resort
The breakfast area is at the hotel tower block. The spread consists of local and international food. The local spread includes noodle soup, some streetfood. International spread is impressive with tons of bread and different kinds of pastry.
They do have porridge if you are looking for something lighter.
What impresses me the most is a special section dedicating to their brand’s country-Spain. Though the section is small, it is cool to introduce Spanish cuisine in a Vietnam resort.
The Level Happy-Hour Privilege in Melia
I highly recommend to book the Level Villa in Melia Ho Tram as it comes with many exclusive perks like private check-in at their dedication lounge.
You have free access to the lounge at any time of the day for cookies, nuts and drinks. Alcohol is included as well.
For daily 3pm - 5pm, guests from the Level Villa are invited to free Happy Hour at the Level Pool and the drinks are fantastic. You can order from cocktails to alcohol to any drink in the included menu.

Perfect escape from buzzing city
#bucketlistreboot
Address: Melia Ho Tram resort, Vũng Tàu - Bình Châu Phuoc Thuan Commune, Coastal Road, Xuyên Mộc District
Getting here: The resort does provide shuttle service from Ho Chi Minh City. Do check out the timing and register in advance.
Room: This resort is pretty new with hotel and villas in the whole complex. Most of the hotel rooms are beach facing so we have a fantastic view of the ocean and the beautiful landscape around here.
The complex is well-maintained and you can borrow the bicycles to get around the resort.
We definitely enjoy our weekend escape here and definitely will be back.

InterContinental Grand Ho Tram Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
I recommend the InterContinental Ho Tram Resort near Ho Chi Minh City!
If you go to Ho Chi Minh City, you often stay in Mui Ne, right?
But Mui Ne can be quite a hassle for a short trip.
In that case, I recommend Ho Tram, which is about two and a half hours away from Ho Chi Minh City!
Ho Tram hasn't been popular for long, so it's not yet touristy,
but the hotel is incredibly clean and great for a staycation.
There's also a beach where you can enjoy privately,
and there are no Koreans in Ho Tram at all, haha.
Even though there are many Koreans in Vietnam these days, there really aren't any here!!
Can you believe that an ocean view room at the InterContinental is only around 100,000 won per night? 🫢
Go there before it gets discovered by everyone!
Al Intercontinental Grand Ho Tram.
It is a great resort to enjoy recreation with children.
There are many auxiliary facilities, and the swimming pool and private beach are well maintained.
When we went for our last breakfast, we moved after placing our bags on the table.
Two of the world's most beautiful women organized by the resort tried to sit at our table to eat.
They acted reluctantly and eventually we moved to another table.
The manager came and made an active apology, and we agreed, but the behavior of the two representing their countries will remain a bad memory.
The resort staff are kind and professional.
An amazing vacation spot, excellent branding, an enchanting location, very modern hotel and restaurant amenities, a wonderful casino, beautiful people, very polite and helpful staff.
A great place to stay, including a nightclub, casino, pharmacy, and many excellent restaurants. Did I mention the pool and the beach? Wow!
One of the famous 5-star hotels in Vung Tau City, Grand Ho Tram. Here you can fully enjoy comfort and convenience during your stay. The rooms are beautifully designed and sophisticated. Each room has basic equipment such as a television, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer, and the hotel's space is very clean and cool. The service attitude of the staff is very passionate. If you book a room at the equator, guests can use a world-class sports center with an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and floating bar.
Perfect vacation spot!
#vietnam #beachlife #trip #Vutang We had such an amazing time at the beach and pool! The hotel offers many activities and has many restaurants! The service is amazing and the staff super friendly and professional! Super recommended!

Vung Tau Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
An Inexpensive Vietnam Beach Holiday!
Location: Vungtau in Vietnam.
Getting there: Vungtao city is located 90 minutes on boat from Ho Chi Minh.
We stayed in Vung Tau for four nights at the Cao Hotel. There are two beaches in Vung Tao. One is called front beach and one is called back beach.
I recommend staying at front beach. Many five star hotels line up here and you have excellent access to the beach. This beach city is cheaper than most in Asia and it's really nice to swim and relax. Even in the winter, it's warm!

Great service, nice room
Staff here were super helpful. They even helped me book a ferry to HCM! Shoutout to Nguyễn Trung Hieu for being extra helpful. Room was also very comfortable and nicely done.
Weekend Vung-Tau getaway
I visited Vung Tau last weekend for the trail marathon , we must conquer every single peak of this oceanic city . It’s hectic n miserable but funny . Then i go for Luca Pizza, Russian Donuts , many many attempts on fruit tea + milk tea . The weather ‘s perfect on race date . However due to the sleepless night before , i was only able to finish half the course . I’d recommend guys to visit Cho Xom Luoi for seafood hunting steal

Cat Cat Village Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Dreamy Sapa
This was Vietnam Sapa, Cat Cat Village in November 2022! Was a very beautiful dream like area with amazing views, definitely enjoyed our times there a lot! We spent around 2 hours in the village.
The most beautiful small island next to Ho Chi Minh City
Coming to Ho Chi Minh City was mainly for taking a flight to Côn Island, which is a short 45-minute journey and only two daily flights. It's known that during the colonial period under French and American rule, this island served as a prison for Vietnamese revolutionaries, so there are still many remnants of old prisons on the island.
There were no specific plans for the trip to Côn Island; it was primarily for relaxation at the hotel. On the first day, after checking in, we spent time swimming and having a spa at the hotel. In the evening, we ordered grilled chicken breast and braised pork, which were incredibly delicious, especially the fragrant pork. Since the island is dedicated to protecting sea turtle nesting, the lighting is kept quite dim in the evening. The general manager immediately brought numerous candleholders, fearing we wouldn't see well, and even thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent.
On the second day, the hotel arranged a small island tour for us. We traveled in a business vehicle with a guide who took us to visit the local market, which was quite small. However, the prices were relatively high due to the island's small size, and most vegetables and fruits had to be shipped in from other places. Even though Côn Island is small, it has schools, hospitals, convenience stores, and coffee shops. We even saw a fashionable clothing store on the main street where you could buy swimsuits. During the island tour, we visited five places: two temples, the spectacular Shark Bay, the island's pier, and finally, a local coffee shop. Our guide and driver even played unfamiliar guitar tunes at the coffee shop and sang us local songs. I recognized a song that I had heard on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, and even though it was just a short recording, he sang it for me, which was incredibly touching. On the way back, we also encountered a group of monkeys, which was quite interesting. I highly recommend the small island tour.
On the third day, we experienced various water activities, including surfing, kayaking, and diving, and wrapped up the day with an open-air movie under the night sky.
If it weren't for time constraints, one could easily spend much longer on the island. On the fourth day, it was time to fly back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Visiting Cat Cat Village in Sapa
I want to share my experience in the charming Cat Cat Village nestled in the heart of Vietnam.
Picture this: winding paths through lush rice terraces, vibrant culture, and friendly locals.
Cat Cat Village, located in the mesmerizing Sapa region, is admittedly pretty touristy. As I strolled through the village, I noticed that there were many souvenir shops.
The Hmong ethnic minority calls this place home, and their rich traditions are woven into every aspect of daily life. I enjoyed learning about their culture, discovering vibrant handicrafts, traditional clothing, and the local delicacies. We walked pretty far from the entrance of the village to the waterfalls, and hiked along rivers to go back to the main road.
But the real highlight? The breathtaking scenery! I trekked through the awe-inspiring countryside, marveling at cascading waterfalls, terraced fields, and mist-covered mountains. The landscape was straight out of a postcard!
Cat Cat Village offers a blend of cultural immersion and natural beauty. If you're seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure in Vietnam, make sure to put this charming village on your bucket list.

Ho Tram Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Beautiful sea view on Hamptons Pier
This is a new addition of the Melia Ho Tram and Hamptons Plaza complex. It is duped as the longest viewing platform in the sea in South East Asia. The area is still under construction and further development. There are a few shops and restaurants open in Hamptons Plaza. Walking on the pier around 200m and you will get the good view of Ho Tram beach. Did not stay here for sunset as it was cloudy when I was here, but I guess the view will be awesome.
Newly-developed resort in Vietnam
Getting a There - there are many limousine services to travel here. Alternatively, the resort/hotel you booked may provide direct shuttle bus to Hồ Tràm.
Attractions - beach resort vibe. This area of Hampton Pier gives out the Florida vibe. The area is still under development so hope to see more amenities in the future
Food & Restaurants - there are some restaurants opening only during weekday dinner.
