The Ruiguyi Pagoda is near the Bagan Palace ruins. It is a stupa with a very distinctive appearance. It has a very beautiful shape and complicated lines, which makes it easy to remember. If you have time, you can come and have a look
Ruiguyi Pagoda Temple is a Buddhism building in the middle of Bagan. It was built during the reign of King Alon Siddu in 1140. Ruiguyi means "golden cave". Because it is close to the ancient palace, it is called the palace stupa. The tower is built on a 3.6-meter-high brick foundation. Legend has it that this is the king’s good fortune that caused a huge brick to emerge from the ground. According to historical records, the king was driven out of the palace by his son when he was old and moved to the pagoda monastery, and was later killed. There are still four Buddha statues and two inscriptions in the temple. Climb to the viewing platform of the Pagoda Temple to see the nearby Pagoda Temples.
This stupa is still quite tall. It feels like it’s not just as simple as a stupa. It’s actually a bit difficult to climb this stupa, because the stairs are very steep, and you can see it from above. Beautiful scenery.
Although it is a pagoda, I think it is very cleverly constructed. It doesn't feel very dark inside, and it is also very cool inside. It should be the use of some building techniques at the time, which is pretty good.
