_FB***35Fun in the jungles! Ubud is the place to be if your looking at becoming one with nature. This is the most lush landscape in Bali with great things to do. While there ( travelled with two children) we experienced ATV riding throughout the rain forest , rivers and waterfalls , to the sight of free roaming monkeys at the Monkey Sanctuary , gracefully washed elephants at the Masons lodge ... experienced the beauty of rice terraces and topped it off with an evening camping out! Ubud is a must do for that total Bali experience with endless possibilities.
Ulun Danu is located in Tabanan Regency Bali. Its a quite a trip going to this place if you are coming from the city.
The best way is to join a local tour or hire a service car with a local driver. For 3 people we paid US$15 each including the tip for the driver (how economical) and the service was for the whole day (10hrs)
This place showcasing one of the most visited cultural heritage of Indonesia so it can get crowded with tourists, best time to explore is the earliest in the morning (they as early as 7am) taking pictures with least people walking around.
Highly suggest to hire a tour guide to enjoy the scenic place with a well informative local. You’ll appreciate this beautiful place more by knowing its history.
After visiting this place, your driver are able to recommend a local restaurants nearby that serves sumptuous flavourful Indonesian delicacies.
Drivers are also good in taking pictures and they’ll gladly help when asked.
Budget friendly luxurious Villa located not far from the heart of Seminyak. The Kamuela Villas is definitely a hidden gem.

Breakfast included on the rate $120/night for 3 people and floating breakfast (at an additional cost) is also available by request a day in advance.
travelled with 3 of my female friends and we shared the cost 🤩 big saver.
Villa rates starting from US$70 varies from villa type.
They also offer free airport shuttle to and from the airport which is approximately 20 mins away (Ngurah Rai International Airport) depending on the traffic condition.
We definitely had a blissful time staying in this Villa. Highly recommend! Their staff are friendly and remarkably helpful.
This place is perfect for family, vacation with friends, anniversary of birthday!
Last year before Covid spread all over the world. We got a chance to travel around Bali. One of the most memorable things I did was the floating breakfast. Like, who wouldn't like that? And also the Villa that we stayed in was very accommodating #villavictoria . A great holiday, indeed!
The beautiful colors of Ubud Market. It was really hard to resist from buying everything we encountered...especially the mosaic and coconut bowls! We ended up just snapping pictures for the memories instead...though we might have to buy some on the next trip!⠀
What kind of souvenirs do you collect for your travel memories? Are they physical or digital?⠀
📍Ubud Market, Bali, Indonesia⠀
We spent two nights in this resort in April. It is set in a stunning location that is very different from the slum-like surroundings of most of Bali.
Service is to a high western standard, far better than anywhere else we had been. Meals were excellent, pricey by Bali standards but still relatively cheap.
Activities such as snorkelling and tours through the Bali Barrat national park are expensive, but the service we got on our tour was well worth it (got excellent discriptions of all the plants and birds and mangrove creatures including medicinal uses, toxicities, and ecology. We didn't snorkel there having done it at several other places already, but in hindsight this was a mistake as reportedly it is the most beautiful place on the island to do so.
Amazing infinity pool with matching spa.
Rooms are clean and well set up.
The untouched pristine waters offers a vast world of exquisite coral home to a large variety of tropical sea life. 30mins from Pemuteran via boat this is one of the most unique experiences which literally puts you in a meditative state are you’re immersed in this unique world. Besides, the tons of different colorful species of fish there were so many interesting corals. We had a guide who took us out to a shallow area of the sea and guided us to where the clown fish, octopuses, sea cucumbers, rare starfish were hiding.
The temples on the island would be worth a visit, otherwise you can view them from your boat.
The BEST coffee shop in Seminyak (if not Bali): Revolver Espresso! They have been my favorite since they first opened in 2013. Everything about this place is just perfect — great coffee, amazing food, good music, warm and friendly staffs.
My go-to menu is ‘Underbelly’ — this brunch plate consists of eggs, hash browns, chicken sausages, bacon strips, and caramelised mushrooms. The portion is huge with a very reasonable price. They also have a brunch promotion that starts at 10 AM.
The atmosphere here is simply unbeatable! They have a beautifully designed interior and the place itself is quite spacious, I could came here everyday and never get bored. While you’re here, don’t forget to check their merch store for cool t-shirts and more!

It’s never too early (nor too late) for ramen, don’t you agree? Located in Petitenget Street, Mad Ronin is a small ramen eatery with a rather intriguing vibe. Opens from 11 AM to 1 AM daily, it’s a perfect place to satisfy your midnight ramen craving. If you’re into spicy food, try the Tonkotsu Hell Bowl Ramen — a delicious combintation of rich broth, thick pork slices, creamy soft boiled egg, fresh wood ear mushroom and spring onion. Might not be super spicy, but it’s really tasty!
Their interior is dope and service is great — they even gave us a complimentary Chicken Karaage on our last visit!

At Chandi, they make their bebek betutu with a blend of sixteen spices and serve it with duck sate over sugarcane and a salted duck egg salad.
Bebek betutu is incredibly moist and tender and practically shreds off the bone the moment it touches your knife. It’s also very aromatic to the point of being perfume-y. You can tell when you taste it that a whole lot of spices went into making this dish.
Chandi is a lovely restaurant so it’s a great opportunity for you to get dolled up over a ceremonial platter of bebek betutu. As you can tell from their stellar reviews, Chandi is one of the best places to eat in Bali.
