Ubud is located in the center of the island of Bali and it is a truly magical place. Spend a week up here to experience the "authentic Balinese experience." The other areas of Bali are great, but they've become too commercialized and have eroded some of the great culture of Bali. Ubud has some great attractions and tours to take part in. You'll easily lose yourself to this great city in Bali.
One of Ubud's must do is to do the ricefields walk around Ubud. Just start from Lotus Caffe , the street will lead you to the rice filds area. Stunning views! 2/3 hour walk. Stop for a drink at Cafe Promegranate or Sari Organik.
Gorgeous walk through the rice paddies
The rice paddy walk takes you through the landscapes of rural Ubud and takes about 45 minutes to walk, one way. The trail starts behind the Clear Café in the north of Ubud, and finishes in the same rice paddy fields where Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts was filmed. The hike isn’t too strenuous, but there is little shade on the trail, so avoid walking it in the middle of the day. Bring plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes.
Runaway rice fields. The scenery is beautiful and refreshing! In this paragraph, the little brother gave us various individual explanations. He said that the family temples of every family here are carved by himself. He himself went to university in the only two universities in Bali. He studied bartender... Amazing.
