Banff Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
One of the most beautiful and serene places is Banff Alberta. There are so many awesome spots to take photos, and it’s not difficult to get good shots either!
Here are three of my favorite lava toons to take photos in Banff:
1. The bluest water you will ever see is at Moraine Lake. The lake sits directly below an epic mountain range. The best time to go is early in the morning. There aren’t as many people in the mornings either. If you’re lucky enough to get cloud coverage, hike up above the downed log to get a spectacular view of the valley and lake.
2. Lake Louise is another amazingly blue lake that sits in the park. It is made up of direct glacier runoff. The best time to go for photos is sunset. If conditions are right, you may get an illuminated orange sky that makes perfect photos.
3. Lastly, one of my favorite places, is the town of Banff. It is a beautiful small mountain town, with spectacular views in every direction. The Prince of Wales Hotel sits on the South side of the town and it definitely a must see.

The incredible East End of Rundle Hike in Canmore, otherwise known as EEOR, is one of the most popular hikes in the Banff area. You can summit in around 2-3 hours and the views of the Bow Valley are beyond comparison. But you really don’t have to make it all the way to the top to get the amazing views. Even hiking halfway is worth the effort!

The Mount Temple Scramble is one of Banff’s most popular and challenging hiking objectives. It’s one of the only 11,000ft mountains that you can safely scramble without any mountaineering equipment, and if you make it to the top you’ll have stunning top down views of Moraine Lake.
The hike starts from Moraine Lake and passes through Larch Valley and Sentinel Pass on the way to the summit.

The Mt. Norquay Via Ferrata is a relatively new attraction in Banff. It’s an amazing way to experience mountaineering without in a safe way, with zero skills! It’s an exciting way to summit a mountain and it’s easily one of Banff’s best attractions.
There are different routes that cross bridges, planks and high wires, and at the end of the day there’s an amazing charcuterie board waiting for you!

The three Fairmont hotels in the Rocky Mountains add color to your Canadian journey!
Banff is the first stop on a self-driving tour of the Rocky Mountains, with blue skies and white clouds, it really is peaceful and comfortable. Looking out from the hotel window, the green mountain tops, dotted with a bit of white snow, are picturesque! The Fairmont hotel at Lake Louise is another sight to behold, everyone marvels at the stunning window view, and it's also nice to walk around outside, with the lake reflecting the snow-capped mountains, a different kind of scenery! The Fairmont in Jasper is a resort hotel, with beautiful lakes and mountains, and even the little houses are beautiful! Definitely worth experiencing if you have the chance!

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, located in Banff, Alberta, Canada, is often referred to as the "Castle in the Rockies" due to its grandiose, castle-like appearance. 5 Reasons why you should visit Banff!
(If you haven’t already)
1) The mountains! Obviously #1 for a reason, just driving from Calgary to Banff is beautiful enough let alone waking up to gorgeous mountain views, breathing in the fresh air on a mountain hike or sipping a cup of tea taking in their magnificence from the comfort of a coffee shop or your front porch!
2) How beautiful and cozy the accomodation is- think wood cabin vibes, thermal pools, a crackling fire in the evening and hot chocolates all round. We stayed at @thehiddenridgeresort for the second time and absolutely love it there!
3) The wildlife - there’s nothing better than being able to witness animals in their natural habit without disturbing them- we love all the variety of animals and felt so privileged to be able to witness them in their everyday life. Don’t ever forget that no matter how cute an animal is it is wise to keep your distance and admire them from afar!
4) Something in every season-
Banff has something different to offer every season that you visit, from the beautiful trees in fall, snow covered mountains in winter, water activities in summer and the fresh new start of spring 🌼
5) Relax in thermal hot springs and pools! There is nothing like a hot thermal bath after a long day of hiking to relax your muscles, even if you’ve just spent the day walking around town shopping!

Fairmont Hotel | A stunning hotel in the Rocky Mountains
Rocky Mountain travel is an unforgettable memory. Accompanied by this beautiful scenery are three Fairmont hotels during the trip, each with its own characteristics, enough to satisfy your expectations for the Rocky Mountains travel.
1. Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
This is the first Fairmont hotel we stayed at during our Rocky Mountain trip. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and after checking in, we went to explore the town. The sunset reflected on the small river, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
●The Banff Springs Castle Hotel, built in 1888, follows the luxurious castle style of Scotland, with a magnificent and elegant aristocratic atmosphere. Here, you can fully enjoy the eternal beauty and luxurious comfort of the mountains and the wilderness.
For a century, it has received heads of state and famous actors from all over the world, and served as a filming location for Marilyn Monroe's "The River of No Return". It was also chosen by the Canadian government as a national historic site in 1922 for witnessing the development of national parks.
2. Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
●The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise was named one of the "Top 10 Most Beautiful Hotels in the World" by the famous American financial magazine Forbes in 2011. This Canadian "national treasure" is the only "world-class hotel" standing on the shore of Lake Louise, stunning every visitor who comes for its classic Victorian architecture and luxurious interior decoration.
3. Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, also known as Jasper's Rustic Retreat
Take a morning stroll by the lake at the resort, and you can feel the ultimate tranquility. The reflection of the snow-capped mountains in the lake is clear, and the fish swim freely in the water. At that moment, the air is fresh and the mood is comfortable.
●Although the reputation of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is not as well-known as the previous two, it is still a beloved place for two generations of the British royal family.
Jasper Resort is a wooden cabin resort, with each small cabin hidden among lush forests, ranging from low-key and cozy cedar cabins to luxurious wooden cabins. Some cabins face the exclusive Bowat Lake for hotel guests, like a hidden world of elves.
Canadian Jasper Travel Guide in the Rocky Mountains
The beauty of the Rocky Mountains is diverse, with long self-driving roads and picturesque lakes. No matter which one, it is worth savoring. Today, I recommend Jasper to everyone, a place you will want to visit again and again.
When we arrived, it was already evening and we checked into Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. An unexpected surprise awaited us the next morning.
Early morning, strolling, ultimate quietness - the reflection of the snow-capped mountains, fish swimming freely, and brightly colored small boats. When I wrote this paragraph, I stopped for a while, not sure if I was recalling the beautiful scenery or feeling the state of mind.
Attraction introduction: Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most famous national parks in western Canada. It is one of the famous mountain national parks and a large national park in the Canadian Rockies. It is located north of the Rocky Mountains and is home to a variety of wild flora and fauna. Within the park, there are Medicine Lake, Patricia and Pyramid Lakes, Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon, where the lakes and mountains complement each other, showcasing the stunning beauty of nature. There are also ancient and vast icefields in the Canadian Rockies, which attract people from all over the world every year.
