This place is only a few blocks from our rental in Brocagrande and constantly hears good news about it, so we went twice! It&rsquo;s a very busy place. Our host gave us some interesting restaurant backstory saying they only hired single mothers. I thought it was a very cool concept. I only tried pancakes and I thought they were very good, very good. They had different pancakes to offer even waffles. In Cartagena, that is a must.

I have enjoyed the cuisine at La Girolata many times and they have always provided a superb dining experience in each category. The menu is very varied, Barranquilla is on the coast and you will find many of your favorite Italian seafood dishes. If there is a dish I am not on the menu, they can add it, which will be a small beef Osso Buco with saffron or orzo stew, or corn porridge and some broccolini cooked garlic and oil. Especially worth mentioning is the waiter of Alberys. He was one of his &ldquo;service games&rdquo; - very professional, outgoing. The best compliment I can give is: every time I am in Barranquilla, I will keep going and I look forward to the next return.

The restaurant was nice, the decor was spectacular, the tropical atmosphere was nice, but the food was terrible. My husband and I expected the food to taste like Miami Cuban food, but to our surprise, the taste was terrible and flat. The restaurant lacked deliciousness and was expensive.
