Starting on Sunday morning, it was noon in Anshui Town. The booked Great Wall originated from the residential quarters. The place of residence was outside the scenic spot of Gubeishui Town, but it was very close. It was only five minutes away. A little rectification at 3:00 p.m. (280/Renshui Town ticket + Simatai Great Wall ticket + two-way cable car ticket set), children less than 1.2 meters do not need tickets, but the cable car to half price, including the second one we still hold for three months) tour, the town is very large, but basically not very good use, half of the houses are antique houses, not managed by businesses, Sunday afternoon. There are few people in the evening, and accommodation is cheap. It's twice the usual price and it's twice as expensive at weekends. There are also many places to stay in the town. There are hotels and lodgings. Because the tickets are one-time, you can't go out. If you live in the town, you don't have to worry about the second cost of a day's tour. But the accommodation inside is not very well booked, and much more expensive than outside. I think one day is enough to finish the tour, mainly to see the night scenery, which is very good. A baby carriage can be stored at the entrance. The staff said one third of the carriage was staircase, but we took it with us. We were afraid that the child would fall asleep and have nowhere to put it. So we had to carry the steps of the carriage many times along the way, but overall it was good and not too hard. From 5:30 p.m., we can take a cable car to the Great Wall. The entrance of the Great Wall is in the middle of the town. Our pedestrians stroll around and take pictures. It happens to be more than 5 o'clock. Because the children are small, a three-year-old and a three-month-old, if the young people with good legs and feet, they will be faster. There are food streets and convenience stores, eat a little, take a cable car up the hill, walk to the Great Wall beacon tower after getting off the cable car. Because the night view of the Great Wall is not long open, only two beacon towers can visit at night, but enough, because it has to walk for a long time. I wanted to come down after watching the night scene on the Great Wall, but the wind was cold and the children were small, so I took the cable car down before the lights turned on at 7:45. The entrance of the Great Wall is very close to the music fountain of Shuizhen, about 2 minutes. Music fountains begin at 7:40, with intervals of 35 minutes, each 20 minutes, to about 10:30. Riyuewan Square also has a Peking Opera performance. It's great. The scenery along the way is beautiful, better than during the day, the bars are open, very similar to the feeling of Lijiang ancient city, but not as lively as that, there are foot bath places, outside there are two free hot springs, foot soaking, very comfortable. At the foot of the Great Wall, there are hot springs, which are hot springs hotels. They can accommodate, time relations, and without swimsuits, they can not soak. Unfortunately, open-air hot springs can see the Great Wall. The overall feeling is good, suitable for short-distance travel in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, accommodation costs are still acceptable. Driving from Tianjin for more than 3 hours is suitable for self-driving.
Nine years ago, I visited Wuzhen, Xitang, in the south of the Yangtze River. From then on, I missed the scenery which was gentle and beautiful. In June this year, my sister-in-law's family, who returned from the United States, went to Gubei Water Town, known as Northern Wuzhen. Gubeishui Town = Shui Town + Simatai Great Wall, the scenery is like today's women, both gentle heart, and as strong as iron man. Starting from downtown on Sunday, we reserved Gubeishuizhen Hotel. Hotel guests can enjoy half price of water town tickets. On the first day, I visited Gubeishui Town. The whole scenic area of Yantang River is divided into three districts from west to East - Shuijie historical area, Wolongbao folk culture area and Tanghe Guzhai area. Visit scenic spots "Sima Xiaofei", "Yongshun Dyeing Workshop", "Goldfish Workshop" all the way, experience painting kites in "Wind House Kite", Yang Wudi Temple, Zhenyuan Bodyguard Bureau, return to Riyue Island Square at sunset and have dinner at Tanghe Muslim Restaurant. During the day, the weather in Shuizhen changed greatly. In the morning, the sky was blue and clouds were white. In the afternoon, after the rain, Shuizhen was green and wet, as if walking on the block of Wuzhen. In the evening, when night falls, people turn around like knitting. It's four or five degrees lower than the city. The whole town and the Great Wall of Simatai are more mysterious and charming in the light of night. In the daytime, a small family "Jiankun Hall Flower Lamp Shop" is very busy at night, with colorful lanterns. Most of the visitors bring one or two lanterns, childhood memories and expectations. The next morning, they enter the garden again with their reserved fingerprints and ID cards. The whole town is still sleeping. We go straight to the Great Wall of Simatai and begin to challenge ourselves. In the hot sun, sweating and sweating, a pedestrian climbs from the second floor to the eighth floor - Wangjing Tower instead of choosing a cable car. The Great Wall of Simatai, which is famous for its strange, special and dangerous nature, finally stepped on its own feet and praised everyone. There are many recreational and leisure projects in Gubei Water Town. After climbing the Great Wall, we went to the "Yuda Hot Spring" pond to soak in it. During the day, soaking in hot springs not only relaxes the body and mind, alleviates fatigue, but also enjoys the distant Great Wall while soaking ("Eight Banners Guild Hall", "Gubeibaked pear" experience. The "swaying boat" is also a major feature of the ancient Beishui town. During the day, you can feel the simplicity of the water town, and at night, you can enjoy the lights of the water town. No boat, leave a little regret, hope to come again next time, Gubeishui Town, I will come back.
The BEST place Ive been to in China!!! Gubei Water Town is a holiday place / retreat for EVERYONE! Honeymooners, families, friends and even the solo traveler like me! There is so much to see and do in this beautiful water town from the Simatai Great Wall, and the most amazing FREE water fountain light show that I have ever seen to traditional chinese food tastings, relaxing hot springs, beautiful idyllic scenery, water boat rides, lively bars and so much more, you cannot say you were in China if you did not visit this amazing water town. Its like experiencing the whole of China in one town! And its only one and a half hours drive by bus from central Beijing.
Gubei Water Town is a fantastic day visit.. Only 2 hours from Beijing. Judy was our tour guide and she was fantastic. From treating us to a fantastic lunch, to pointing out all the key landmarks at Gubei. We had an awesome time.. Very good place to take great pictures/see the great wall/feel like you are in a Swiss mountain town.. Will definitely return in the Summer.
If you want to escape the Beijing life for a mean time, go to Gubei. It’s a worth to visit, got a lot of interesting sights to see, if you want photography, you will surely love this place. Very traditional, got small alleys to take picture at, and don’t miss the show at night. You will be amazed how they collaborated the music and 3d effect all together. If you have more time, try out to feel being a princess by renting a costume, and take a picture around.
I don't know where to start. It's so unexpected. I'm tired of the noisy city and the fast-paced life. I just enjoy coming here. Relax your body, let go of your feelings, everything is so leisurely. Although the scenic spot is newly built, all the facilities are clean and sanitary, but it still retains many old monuments. The wall of Yanhe River was built with bricks left over from the brick kiln where the Great Wall was built. It is amazing. The Yanhang Inn we stayed in here can be booked on the Internet a long time in advance. In the second half of the scenic spot, the car parked near the entrance of the scenic spot. After checking in at the tourist service center, the luggage was towed to the hotel. We traveled to the Inn by ourselves all the way. We were almost tired. We went upstairs for a short rest, and out the entrance was the snack street, where we ate all kinds of special snacks. Here we recommend pancakes and radish shredded cakes. Because there are too many people waiting in the queue, there are also western food in the scenic spot. We want to have a little wine. We went to William's Western Restaurant. The environment is super-excellent. It has both western style and antique flavor. Night falls. Sitting on the terrace, we eat Western food, drink red wine, and look at the night scene of the church on the top of the hill unconsciously. It's just floating like a fairy! On the way back to the hotel, I passed the grand stage and the bookstore. At this time, the wind still had a cool feeling. Here in the morning, very quiet, open the curtains, quiet beauty, riverside restaurant eating breakfast, looking at the Great Wall, start! We went up the ropeway. The cable car was very good. We climbed to the top of the ropeway and looked down. It was foggy. We shouted and let it go. Come down just at noon, after dinner by boat back to the entrance, the boatman is very talkative, all the way to introduce the ancient town to us, combined with our own tour, feel very good, this successful return, next time we are going to stay in the William Hotel, mountain bookstore or something to experience. A super trip, Shanghai, Wuzhen, West Lake, Hong Kong. Neither of them felt comfortable this time.
Gubeishui Town is located in Gubeikou Town, Miyun County, Beijing. Backed by the most beautiful and dangerous Great Wall of Simatai in China, it sits on the Yuanyanghu Reservoir. It is a rare natural ancient village in the suburbs of Beijing. It is also the best for photographers and enthusiasts to take pictures of the scenery. They can visit the Great Wall of Simatai, which is currently in the best condition. They can also participate in the experience of the unique local customs and customs at the foot of the Great Wall. They can also experience the sights of Sima Xiaofei, Yongshun Dyeing Fang, Yinghua Academy, Yang Wudi Temple, Zhenyuan Bodyguard Bureau, Baqi Guild Hall, Yueliao Temple, Simatai Great Wall and so on. Simatai at night is old and quiet. Walking up the Great Wall and enjoying Gubei Water Town, which has gone through hundreds of years of vicissitudes, Simatai is the only Great Wall open to night tours in Beijing. Absolute photography enthusiasts have a good opportunity to capture the night scenery. It is a good experience to enjoy the music and water scenery of the Great Wall in Wangjing Street and perform Peking Opera, Three Strings and acrobatics in Riyue Island Square.
Come with my family, the weekend weather is very good, the summer scenery is beautiful, the green plants grow up, the water is green, many fish, many beautiful buildings, small boats, in a word, the environment here is really good, the scenery is beautiful day and night, it feels like two worlds, it is beautiful and beautiful to recommend you to come here for a day or two to enjoy the whole feeling. The days and nights here are very good. The catering here is heavy in form and not in taste. It's really very, very ordinary, but the decoration and adjustment are very good. If you come for delicious food, you will be disappointed, but only to feel the atmosphere. Here's a good choice for everyone to play. Don't take a battery car, walk, walk down, basically 4-5 small ones. It's very interesting. Give the designers here a big compliment.
It was an amazing experience at Gubei Water Town. It took about 2 hours from Beijing city by bus. The view was so awesome especially in the night time. We also can see The great wall from the town. The air was really fresh there since it is surrounded by the moutains. It's worth to go! I'll definitely go visit again!
Gubei Water Town is my favorite place around Beijing. It's a very pittoresque and magical place. It's very well preserved and it is easy accesible. It is 1.5/2 hrs from Dongzhimen station and there is a direct bus that leaves in the morning (09:00). It is great to wander around the cosy village and explore all its corners and interesting attractions. The hotsprings are very beautiful and reaxing and there are so many great views in the Town. You can also visit a part of the Great Wall by night and overlook the Town. In summer there are also interesting small exhibitions and workshops. There are great food places and lots of little shops and authentic snacks. You can easily enjoy your time here for a few days and dive into the traditional culture : there are opera shows, arts and crafts shops and music. There is a pagoda, an old church, and traditional houses turned into musea. You also learn about the history or just enjoy your time with leisurely activities such as bowling, hotsprings and dining. It is a perfect getaway. We didn't organize our hostel on beforehand, we just went there and choose from the options, with hotsprings included.
