Jiehu Bridge is the first of six bridges on the west embankment of Beijing Summer Palace, and the junction bridge between Kunming Lake Outer Lake and Inner Lake. The other 5 bridges on the West Dike have pavilions except the Jade Belt Bridge. Only the Border Lake Bridge does not have them. In fact, it is not. The Border Lake Bridge was built in Qianlong. There were pavilions on the bridge, but it was destroyed in 1860 by the invasion of the British and French coalition forces, and it was not repaired in the later period. When the Summer Palace was reopened to the world, the Border Lake Bridge retained the style of the no-bridge pavilion.
There are six bridges on the west embankment of the Summer Palace. Of which, the Jiehu Bridge is the north side of the bridge and the first bridge to the west embankment. The Jiehu Bridge is relatively close to the Tuancheng Lake. The scenery is very beautiful. The design style of the Jiehu Bridge is significantly different from the other five bridges.
Jiehu Bridge is the boundary between the lake and the Houxi River in Kunming Lake and the inner and outer lakes. It is the northernmost bridge of the West Dike. It was burned by the British and French invaders and later rebuilt by the Empress Cixi. There is a Xidi release sign in front of the bridge, and the south side of the bridge is the description of the Jiehu Bridge. Stepping on the Jiehu Bridge is to walk up the West Dike, which is the first bridge of the West Dike. After that, it was the Lifeng Bridge and the ancient willow of Xidi. When I went in winter, I patronized the dead branches on the ice and didn't pay attention to the bridge. During the spring season, the willow green flowers and red flowers, and then went to Xidi to ask for the willow to find flowers. This time, these six bridges were photographed one by one, and the flowers and branches were hidden from the green willow. Only wait for the time, then come to the summer to watch the lotus, the four seasons of the west embankment, the four days, the four hours of the beautiful scenery.
The bridge is a good bridge, the scenery is a good scene, the people are a good person, parking is slightly difficult
