The pronunciation of Berne is very similar to that of a bear. In fact, the city is named after the bear.
There is a small square in the middle of the hill across a bridge in the east of the city. Stand up with this huge bear statue. Behind this is the beautiful view of the entire old town including the Bern Cathedral bell tower. Many people like to come here to take pictures and see the pitiful look of the little bear that is locked up next to it.
The square itself doesn't have much to watch, but there is a bear statue that symbolizes the image of the city. The square is surrounded by very commercial sections, with many large and small shops and various restaurants, and the traffic is very busy.
There are some statues and fountains. There are not many people here. You can take a look around them slowly. Some are very distinctive and the streets are very clean. They are a nice place. If you come to Bern, you will definitely pass by.
Although there are no bears here, but when the annual Onion Festival comes, the street market is very lively and you cannot miss it.
There is nothing to stroll about, it's just a square. There will be beautiful lights in summer, which is very suitable for summer square dancing. Unfortunately, no one dances square dancing here.
When I am alone I like to go there to watch children running and jumping in the square, and I feel like I am back to my childhood
