The Food Boy Fountain, also called the Ogre Fountain, is located in the Granary Square in the old town of Bern and was built in the 16th century. The entire fountain is carved with a sitting ogre devouring a naked child, and there is a bag next to it, with more children in it, with hideous faces, intended to scare the disobedient children. Just a few steps away from the famous Bernese Clock Tower, this sculptural fountain was used to replace a 15th-century wooden fountain. The fountain sculpture is full of medieval dark fairy tale style, which is unforgettable.
