Photos of Nyatapola Temple

Nyatapola Temple is located in Badgaon Durbar Square. It was built in 1702 and is the highest Hindu temple in the area. The temple is 30 meters high, and you have to climb hundreds of steps on the five-story platform to reach the top, because Niatapola means five-story, also known as a five-story tower. On both sides of the steps of the Niatapola Temple are guarded eagles, elephants, lions and strong men. The lower the statues, the greater the power they represent. It has a total of 108 wooden slanted columns, which are carved with various exquisite patterns.
