B&B @ Bloem Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Mundane City, Memorable B&B
#if you have to, make the Best of a City
Should you ever find yourself in the God forsaken City of Bloemfontein, I can recommend at least one decent Guesthouse.
The "B&B @Bloem", is worth the visit.
Mangement is courteous towards customers, and do their best to accommodate their guests.
The bedrooms are larger than standard bedrooms, as are the bathrooms.
Bathrooms are equipped with a large bathtub, as well as a large shower.
The beds were comfortable and breakfeast was served in the room.
Guests have the option to eat breakfast in the dining hall, or in the comfort of their room.
Note: This is also one of a fewer guesthouses, that's "pet friendly", should you have such a requirement.

Hertzog Square Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The square recently had a major cleanup and is now worth visiting. This is one of the rare well designed public spaces in Bloemfontein. It lies next to the historically significant President Brand street and enhances the surrounds of the Blemfontein city hall , Court of Appeals and parliament sensitively.

Anglo-boer War Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
What an emotional visit! The entire experience was so incredibly heartbreaking but so worth the visit. I was blown away by the history, that humans could be so cruel, that others could be so steadfast and determined. The history as it is never told. I highly recommend this but take tissues!

GALLERY ON LEVISEUR Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The Gallery has a new exhibition every month. The artwork is upmarket and classy, yet affordable. We were there for the opening of the Rudolph Pretorius Solo Exhibition, and wow, it was great. The art is professional and they try to host only the best artist. Definitly the place for art connoisseurs.
