What people are saying:

The museum has a large collection of items related to the Boer War. There are many big paintings, and when you consider that there are also women and children there, one of the Boers nailed to the banks of the Maud River under the attack of the British is very touching. Of course, this led to General Krone’s surrender at the Battle of Paderberg. Prisoners of war captured in overseas camps have a large number of handicrafts, including St. Helena, Ceylon, India and Bermuda, as well as handicrafts made in camps in South Africa. The Women’s Monument depicts two women, one of whom is holding a baby. This is very unforgettable because the ashes of the British woman Emily Hobhouse were buried there. She helped people who suffered in the war A lot of work has been done. Recently, a long wall was added with the names of women and children who were burned to death in concentration camps during the British Scorched Earth Policy. At that time, the farm was burned down and the women and children were placed in the concentration camps. There was almost no fresh water or medical care. It was unforgettable! Of course, this does not represent the "best period" of British history!

Nice but sad to see all the woman and children that died in consentration camps.

Very nice to visit and experience our history even though it's very sad walking through the garden of remembrance. Just wish we could take photos inside the museum.
