The courthouse in Bordeaux is allowed to see the courtroom, which, according to the guards, can accommodate about 50 people. The court is still performing his duties, and can meet lawyers inside wearing wigs and robes to buy coffee, bags will be checked by friendly security guards at the entrance.
A famous landmark with a giant column on the left side that extends out to the outside is a novel design.
One of the most impressive buildings in Lyon is the courthouse sitting at one end of Pont Neuf which crosses over the Saone River. It is a beautiful neo-classical building featuring twenty four columns. The Palais de Justice is famous for several “infamous” trials. The view of the building from across the Saone is quite lovely especially at when it’s lit up at night. As you get closer you can really see its magnitude and admire the architectural design.
Attractive historic building in the old city. Not interesting enough to be a destination.
And the French justice system is curious.
