The Roman Column of Brindisi, located in the center of Brindisi, is a local landmark. The top of the Roman column is beautifully carved with patterns and is as high as a three-story building. There were two originally, but one was poured.
The two Roman columns are the landmarks of Brindisi and the end of the Appia Trail. Successive Roman consuls, emperors, and generals all set out from here to fight in the east. Although there are not many ancient Roman ruins in Brindisi today, in this port, you can still imagine the scene of more than two thousand years~
