The Hotel de Ville is the town hall of Brussels (the same name refers to the town hall of many French-speaking cities). It stands out from the other ornate, gilded 17th century structures in the Grand Place because of its contrasting darker stone. It is an older, Gothic structure dating back to the 13th Century.

Brussels Town Hall is an impressive building built in the early 15th century located in the middle of Grand Place. The interiors were updated in the 17th and 19th centuries with the alderman's offices and reception area decorated with Brussels tapestries from the 16th through 18th centuries along with Gothic wood paneling and paintings and ancient guilds' insignias. Be sure to check out the tower spire which is topped by the archangel Saint-Michael.
I still have to visit this scenic spot. You can see many ancient historical relics inside.
Lively, relatively safe, many shops can visit, recommended
The tower is the tallest building in the central square, and it is not easy to take a panoramic view.
