A lovely garden setting just off one of the main streets, we just had to try a traditional Hungarian dinner. So started with what else but Goulash soup, which was wonderful, although quite filling! And for main course we tried the beef stew with Gnocchi, which again was delicious and very filling. Finally, for dessert we had the Gundel pancake. Food was very reasonably priced and drinks inexpensive too, overall very impressed!

Came here with my family and husband after coming to Budapest. We got this advice after asking for authentic Hungarian food from the hotel and we were not disappointed. I had beef stew, my parents had a beef potato cake, and husband wild boar stew. Bone soup, kimchi as an appetizer. Desert almond pudding. Everything was fine and the service was incredible. &agrave; was excellent advice and very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back.

I&#39;ve been to Budapest a few times and always visit this restaurant. Tucked away from the busy Vaci Utca, a quiet garden is the perfect place for a peaceful rest with delicious food and a very large crisp cold beer. Staff were very friendly and fun. Great prices and fun surroundings.

Having been shown to a dirty table, the waiter cleared it, took our order, tried to upsell ( badly) to us and wondered off. He came back with our meal, however, we had no cutlery. He then got our wine, and wet glasses, still no cutlery, and got very annoyed when we asked for dry glasses and cutlery. In addiditon, the meal bore no resemblance to the images shown. The goose liver was 3 tiny slices, soggy chips and boring salad. My duck was re heated, the garlic potatoes were actually soggy chips, and boring salad.about the best bit of my meal was the red cabbage! All in all, the meal was awful, the service was appealing and the whole experience was very annoying.
