The Planetario of Buenos Aires is located at the Parque Tres de Febrero, in the commonly called Bosques de Palermo. Inside its semispherical dome you can find a projection room where educational activities take place, projecting the space, the planets and stars. At night, the dome get illuminated with many small lights that constantly change of color, making it perfect for a night view or picture.
Beatiful place!!! In weekend have shows at days and nights
Very cool structure, very unclear about their hours. We stopped at the Planetarium after spending the day in Recoleta. There was a sign posted on the gate saying that there would be a shot at 5pm. Tons of people showed up and kept looking around, but the place looked closed. Their website and the sign both said they were open on holidays (it was Carnival), but they were clearly not open. The building itself is really very cool to look at, but the show they advertise is the same as the one in AMNH in Manhattan... just in Spanish.
I believe this has great potential. It was only 120 pesos to get in and we were very happy to go there, but we didn't know what to do or where to go when we walked in. We hoped to have a booklet in English, but found nothing. We were unable to enter the cinema, did not know the schedule, and no one pointed out what was special about us. We were really confused, and finally gave up and went out. We are very disappointed that we cannot enjoy or understand what they have. Is this really a bummer to us? For English users, this is not a good choice-only speaking visitors.
