What travelers say:
No matter how pleasant the food, the wait of 1 hour 30 from ordering, or 2 hours from arriving 10.40 pm made it intolerable to wait any longer. We got back to our hotel at 11pm having eaten nothing. This was our third year of visiting and although last year was slow, this was beyond belief. One waitress and one cook were employed for numerous tables and people. She should limit the covers to a number that can sensibly be served instead of leaving the customers waiting for drink and not even providing any bread or apology. My son offered very genuinely to assist by opening some wine bottles but was refused. We had ordered the nicest red in anticipation of a convivial evening but this tasted cooked, as if left in the sun but we hope it would taste better with the food. An adjacent customer went to retrieve a bottle of water but this was not allowed. The wait was some 45 minutes for her water. A number of guests approached to try and establish the whereabouts of their orders. After two hours we were told the food was on its way but 10 minutes later there was no sign of it and we were so fed up with the lack of any hospitality and our evening ruined that we left. My husband said we were not intending to pay for the wine and that if this were a problem the owner should contact him. Indeed Nanni did, sending a rude and abusive WhatsApp before bothering to speak or establish any facts. My husband responded and was then called by a curt, charmless manager/owner who was evidently unable to grasp her exploitation of both guests and staff. It is our twelfth visit to Argentina, not least because the people are so warm, and this is the first time we have encountered such unforgettable rudeness and lack of hospitality
