I was nagging when I visited the United Kingdom. This city is also a huge city. Many of the affiliated facilities are based on the university. Some of the beautiful scenery here is composed of very old facilities.
Cavendish is also a famous historical relic, a very important laboratory inside the University of Cambridge, which has a long history, and is also one of the most important laboratories in the city, there are many buildings nearby, Cambridge University is very important in the morning academic.
Cavendish laboratory is an international influential laboratory in Cambridge University. Since the laboratory was founded by Cavendish donation in the late 19th century, a large number of important scientific achievements have been made, which have influenced the progress of human beings. These are familiar to us: the discovery of electrons, neutrons, the discovery of the structure of nuclei, the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA, etc. As a physics department, I have also done well in training people, and 26 of the graduates of this lab have won Nobel Prizes. I can't help but admire this not too grand building.
After the Cavendish Lab, the father of physics, came to Cambridge to punch a pile of places, decided to go to a visitor's spot. Cavendish Lab! Founded in 1874, the Cavendish Laboratory was a large sum of money in the years when William Cavendish, then the president of Cambridge University, donated nearly 9,000 pounds. The lab was named Cavendish, and the first was to honor his cousin, Henry Cavendish, a famous British chemist and physicist. (Really good brotherly love!) The first teaching director of the lab was James Clark Maxwell, a physicist who was on the same list as Einstein and Newton in the history of science. The room, the surprise discovery laboratory is not the modern building or the tall grandeur that imagines, but in a low building, can be said to be very low-key. The entrance door to the laboratory has a saying above, Baidu said: "The works of the Lord are great. Those who seek them must be very happy." There is an exhibition hall on the first floor of the entrance, with explanations on display, and a few of the directors' Shaw hanging on the side walls leading to the second floor. For example, the lab led them to one world-shaking study after another. On the second floor, a photo of some of the early graduates hangs on the walls. They are all famous scientists and devote their lives to scientific exploration. After the visit you can eat in the laboratory canteen, which is very delicious~
There are dozens of Nobel laureates out there who have a lab that's not as good as this, chemistry, physics, astronomy, all of the world's problems.
