Futuristic Museum with VR shows!
If you’re in Canberra, you have to check out the National Museum of Australia. They have a few permanent exhibits that are free to visit, and honestly wowed me with their beautiful presentation. Immerse yourself with lights, sounds and history in the Great Southern Land exhibit that was my personal favourite. They also have VR shows where they transport you to Antarctica or Outerspace at $20 aud per ticket.

One of the most explored cities in the world | Australia Canberra
Explore the city do not miss - Australia National Academy of Fine Arts and Australian National Museum
National Gallery here more than 160,000 Art works, the Chinese aunt who explained to me is a funny and elegant person duck~ I am impressed by the sculpture in Figure 3, the head is on the ground and the phone is still in the hand, explaining "social tools let us Life has disappeared unconsciously." There are five or five works, and the miniature crowd is very realistic. I asked the administrator to put a few McDonald's villains in such a serious work. The administrator said: Some people say that eating McDonald's will kill more people... Hey, Brother dei, are you serious?
The National Museum is another charm. The venue itself is very design, and its great to take pictures outside. The exhibits here are very interesting, such as the Mutombo fossils, the Sydney Opera House section, various models, and two VR experiences per day.
There are joint exhibitions from time to time. When I go, it is a special exhibition of DreamWorks Animation: from sketch to screen. You can see a lot of familiar movies, such as "Kung Fu Panda", from the sketch character to the whole movie to the screen, you can understand the birth of the entire animated film.
When you leave, remember to go to the gift shop. There are various kinds of children's books, as well as local design handmade ornaments. Some of the products are handmade by the aborigines, and they are unique and partially earned. Money is returned directly to these aborigines.
End the exhibition, you can have a cup of coffee in the restaurant of the art gallery and then enjoy the food and beauty and then leave~

Canberra travel guide, only spent 400 dollars for two days and two nights
Eat: More than 70 dollars a day.
Stay: About 180 dollars for two nights (I stayed in a double room at Meriton with a friend).
Travel: Round trip bus is 46 dollars a trip, student bus ticket in Canberra is 4.8 dollars a day, taxi fare in the middle is 20 dollars.
The total cost is just over 400 dollars, and the experience is quite good.
Day 1: Arrived in Canberra at one o'clock in the afternoon, after storing the luggage at the Meriton hotel, went to eat Thai food Kinn, 50 per person, the taste is good, then went to the nearby museum & gallery, followed by the Australian National, also visited the nearby central mall in the evening, dinner was biangbiang noodles, but not very tasty.
Day 2: Slept in, didn't go out until after eleven, went to both the old and new parliament, went to the Royal Mint, went to the National Art Museum, saw the sunset at Ainslie Mountain, saw wild rabbits and kangaroos (but they ran away quickly), ate Indian food Blu ginger, 30-40 per person, the taste was a bit strong for me, but it was okay.
Day 3: Spent half a day in the morning at the National Museum (the only place I went that required a ticket to see the whole museum, we only visited the free area) and Griffin Lake, ate at Terra, went home in the afternoon.
In total, two days and two nights, my friend and I both felt that we ate well, stayed well, and had a good time.
There are really few people in Canberra, there are few living people in the city center during the day, the buildings are not dense, the view is open, the sky is very clean, and the locals are very enthusiastic.
Two or three days is enough, there are not many fun places there and they are not big. Canberra·Australian Capital Territory
Don’t miss: National Museum of Australia 🇦🇺

The National Museum of Australia, situated in the heart of Canberra, is a captivating journey through the nation's history and culture. My visit to this architectural masterpiece was an enlightening and enriching experience.
The museum's design, with its distinctive Uluru-inspired architecture, is a work of art in itself. Inside, I explored a vast collection of exhibits that span the entirety of Australia's past and present. From Indigenous heritage to colonial history, the galleries are thoughtfully curated.
What sets this museum apart is its interactive and immersive displays. The interactive exhibits, such as the "Circa" and "Kspace" experiences, engage visitors of all ages, making learning about Australia's history and culture enjoyable.
The museum's lakeside location, with picturesque views of Lake Burley Griffin and the surrounding parklands, adds to the overall experience. For history buffs, art enthusiasts, and anyone keen to explore Australia's diverse story, the National Museum of Australia is an essential destination that beautifully encapsulates the essence of the nation. #australia #instatravel #museum
Parliament House Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Visit Australia's parliament in Canberra
Canberra is the capital of Australia, and as such the parliament is located here. You can visit Parliament House independently or on a tour. The building is recognizable from all over the city as it is located in the center of the city on Capitol Hill.
On your visit to the parliament you can explore the huge building and its 4500 rooms. Highlights include the house of senate and the house of representatives as well as the main foyer and the great Wall with lots of art pieces all over the building.
Parliament House is open every day except Christmas from 9 to 5 and admission is free of charge.
Address: Parliament Drive, Canberra Australian Capital Territory 2600
One of the few open parliament buildings in the world
In a corner of the world, the Parliament House in Canberra stands out for its uniqueness. It is open to the public without the need for an appointment, allowing visitors to glimpse the charm of political architecture. Whether in the East or the West, political buildings always strictly follow symmetrical designs, exuding a sense of solemnity and authority.
Upon entering the building's underground parking space, you will find that there is not much decoration. Exposed structural beams, slabs, and columns are cleverly marked by a circular design to indicate the entrance, which is both simple and practical, reflecting the ingenuity and value of the design.
The above-ground space, however, is markedly different, with the use of high-end stone, wood finishes, and other materials making the symmetrical structure even more prominent. Even the furniture inside exudes a sense of rigor, making one admire the meticulous design.
To capture the best angle of this building, I once drove 8 kilometers to the opposite mountain top. There, not only did I take satisfying photos, but I also overlooked the entire city's planning context and learned about the history of the artificial excavation of Lake Burley Griffin.
Regrettably, I was unable to visit the old Parliament House's parliamentary debate scene during this trip. But I believe that it will be an indispensable part of my next journey. In Canberra, whether it is to appreciate the beauty of architecture or to experience the city's historical and cultural heritage, one can't help but linger and forget to return.
Australia's new Parliament House.
In the Australian capital Canberra, there are two Parliament Houses, both of which are open to the public. The Old Parliament House has become a small museum showcasing the history of Australia's founding and capital building. The New Parliament House is open to the public for visits as long as there are no important meetings or events.

The most authentic botanical gardens yet! 🌳🍃
The Australian National Botanic Gardens is a must-go if you love nature and eye popping views. It is also free to enter and easily accessible with public transport. The garden is super big, with many different themes and forests for you to explore in a half-day or full day. It’s better to go in the spring or summer to catch the floral blooms, but even in off-season the trees are super lush and green. It feels authentic and not overly manicures, so you feel like an explorer in vast nature. There is also a cafe serving yummy food in the gardens!

In 2023, I visited the London National Portrait Gallery and immersed myself in a captivating journey through history and art. The diverse array of portraits, from iconic figures to lesser-known personalities, offered a unique glimpse into the tapestry of British culture. The gallery's ambiance, coupled with insightful exhibitions, made it a memorable experience. From Tudor monarchs to contemporary artists, every portrait conveyed a story. In 2024, I want to continue my cultural exploration and visit Canada, anticipating a vibrant blend of history and modernity. #ArtAdventures #LondonGallery #CulturalExploration #TravelDreams 🎨🏛️✈️
