What people are saying:

The highest point of Canberra is open until 10pm. On it, you can see the panoramic view of the whole city of Canberra. Check the time of sunset. Arrive before sunset. The wind is very strong. Remind everyone to wear more clothes if you have to go. It is very cold to see the sun. The scene of falling into the valley, the moon also rose on the other side, the big round moon rose very fast

    Nice Hike for the local

If you don't mind a bit of hiking and have time to kill, this is the best place as it's within walking distance from the centre of action.

    Black Mountain nature park

An excellent place to walk in among native plants and a very good view over the city of Canberra. A reasonable level of fitness is needed to walk the slopes but the effort is worthwhile.
