About Changji Prefecture: Changji is located in the northern foothills of the Tian Shan at the southern edge of the Dzungarian Basin. Changji is home to many national-level tourist attractions, such as the Heavenly Lake and the famous ruins of the Beijing Protectorate, which dates back to the history of the western regions of the Han Dynasty when it was founded. Then there are the 3000-year-old primeval reproduction worship rock paintings at Kangjia Shimenzi, located in Hutubi County. The prefecture is home to cultural and natural marvels such as dinosaur fossil excavation sites, fossil assemblages from ancient forests, Mingsha Mountain, and pristine diversiform-leaved poplar forests. Famous attractions include Liuhuanggou Mineral Springs, the Dushi Scenic Area, Jinchang Park, Changji Old City, and Dafo Temple.
