An amazing getaway from Beijing. I try to go once a year to the beach nearest to the capital and I love to go in may before the crowds start coming. The weather is not that warm in may but I just love to feel the sand under my feet. This time we drove a car to Aranya. It took about 3 hours each way. As an alternative you can take a train from Beijing to Beidaihe or Qinhuangdao train station, they are not so far apart and from the station it’s very easy to take a taxi or DiDi. Aranya is a closed community with hotels, apartments, restaurants, shops, cinema and you need to live in one of the hotels or go to an event to be able to get access to enter. Once inside it is so amazing nice. The beach stretch is quite long and you can find a church, library and bars along the beach. As we entered we had lunch at HE Kitchen before heading to the beach. In the evening we had shake shack however there are multiple options for food if you want to explore.
