In the depths of the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, there is an ancient temple, the Lushan Temple, which has a history of 1700 years. The temple is very quiet. There are two Podocarpus trees in front of the temple, which are the relics of the Six Dynasties period. The temple reserves a collection of Buddhist scriptures and ancient books. The temple was founded in the 4th year of Qinshi in Western Jin Dynasty by Lifacong, disciple of the Dunhuang Bodhisattva Lifahu. It was destroyed several times in the war. The restored temple now includes Maitreya, Grand Hall, and Guanyin Pavilion.
