Koji Nunnery is located in the back lane of Xiaxiping Road in Chaozhou City. Formerly known as Jisheng Nunnery (also known as Dayin Nunnery), it was built in the Tang Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, Xianfeng Lin Dachuan's "Han Jiang Ji" records: "The Kotou Temple is on the left side of the Chengnan Academy, that is, the residence of Han Changli Dadian to the county". On the forehead of the Great Diantang in the nunnery, there are four characters: "Smart and Hongbo". In the middle is the Daxiong Palace. There are two ancient banyan trees in front of the steps. They are not fake soil. They are born from the stone in front of the steps. Song Guangdong transfer judge Zhou Dunyi said on the wall of the hall: "If you retreat, you say that you are like a master. The original way is low to the Buddha and the old. Those who don't know what the Great Britain is like, count the books and cherish the clothes." In the first month of the fourth year (819), Han Yu angered Emperor Xianzong for his remonstrance to welcome Buddha bones, and was demoted to Chaozhou as an assassin. On the day of his arrival at the prefecture, his subordinate officials and the people of the whole city welcomed him. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people, Han Yu was very excited. Suddenly, a monk in front came up to his horse. The monk was also handsome and burly, with a square face and a broad forehead. From a distance, he looked like a talent, but when he approached, it was scary. It turned out that he had two big teeth that burst out, and he looked like a ferocious Arhat in a temple. Han Yu was suddenly displeased, but the officials did not stop him. As a prefect, he would lose his status if he quarreled, so he had to endure it, thinking, "This person must be an evil monk, if he fools the people, he will definitely I want to pull out his two big teeth." When he arrived at the prefect's mansion, Han Yu asked the monk where he came from, and knew that he had attained a high level of Taoism for Jisheng An, and his merit was perfect and his mana was powerful. (It is said that Monk Dadian is the abbot of Chaoyang Lingshan Temple, Guan Jisheng Temple and Lingshan Temple). The next day, Han Yu had just ascended to the hall to handle state affairs, and the attendant presented a small package of things, saying that it was sent by the monk of Great Britain. When Han Yu opened it, it turned out to be two big teeth, and the other was a piece of paper advocating words with a thick and dignified font. The book "Confucianism is based on benevolence, and Buddhism is also helpful to all beings. Taoism has the same purpose and will meet me on the edge of the island." Confused Han Yu: "This monk is really a god, and he knows what I'm thinking." He said guiltily, "I jumped to conclusions about a person based on appearance alone, and I should have misjudged a good person. I shouldn't." Tang wrote the three big characters "Kiao Te An" and ordered someone to escort him to Jisheng Nunnery, but the monk Dadian had already gone to Chaoyang Lingshan Temple. Since then, Jisheng Nunnery was renamed "Kiaoji Nunnery". Later, Han Yu wrote to Great Britain many times, visited each other, and forged a deep friendship. A few months later, Han Yu stabbed Yuanzhou instead. Before leaving, he made a special trip to Lingshan Temple to say goodbye to Dadian, and presented him with clothes to express his goodbye. Dante built a "clothing pavilion" in front of Lingshan to show their nostalgia. Koji Temple is one of the famous temples in Chaozhou. Through the construction in recent years, it has become a Buddhist resort of a certain scale. Although the place is not large, it is enough to let you appreciate the spirit of the famous temple.
The ancient temple of the molar, a small temple hidden in the alleys of Chaozhou City, the temple is not big, but it is quite meaningful, but Han Yu lived in this ten days, so there is a memorial hall here, and the temple is quiet and beautiful, it is worth visiting.

The Tang Dynasty Yuan and 14 years (819) criminal department Shilang Han Yu was derogated to Chaozhou for the history of thorns because of the bones of the Buddha. After three books, he invited the monk Dabang Zen master to the county. He stayed here for more than ten days and talked about each other. The future generations built Dabangtang in the temple to admire it. And take the meaning of "small hidden tomb, big hidden to the city", called "big hidden". Yuan Dynasty to the Zheng 26 (1336) Chaozhou Road chief Wang Han, destroyed the big hidden, built Han on the side of the big hidden. The people of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty rebuilt the original site, and changed the name to "machine teeth".
Wandering through the alleys in the ancient city, I somehow turned to here. At that time, the sky was dark, and it was a bit unexpected to see this small temple. The gate has been related, and it looks solemn, but the building feels modern. The name of the temple is quite strange, and the reason is not found on the Internet.
