On the south embankment at the west end of the Chaozhou Hanjiang Bridge, with the temple gate facing east, it was previously called Anji Shengwang Temple. According to the record in "Pengli Xiaolong" by Shen Cunzhong in the Song Dynasty, the ancient temple of Qinglong was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, and King Anji Ling was conferred by Zhao Xu (who ascended the throne in 1068) of Shenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is also said that Zhuge Zhengman, the prefect of Yongchang of Shu Han, guarded the city and defended the thieves, and died as a god. In the seventeenth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1589), the Chaozhou Haiphong Tongzhi Shi learned to rebuild the ancient temple town of Qinglong. There is another legend: during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Yizhigao in Guangyuan Prefecture assumed the title of Nantian King, and changed it to Yuanjingrui. Since Guangyuan is connected to Chaozhou, the rebels rely on the river to take the risk. Emperor Zhao Zhen sent Yang Wenguang to Pingnanman Shibadong. When the Song army marched south along the river, a green snake was attached to the boat, and the journey was smooth, the battle was quick, and the caves were all flat. Zhao Zhen named Chaozhou Green Snake "Anji Lingwang". The previous Qinglong Temple also had to enter the temple gate from the south embankment to the east and down. On both sides, one is a shrine and the other is a stage. From the back of the temple through Huoxiang to the front of the temple is the half-moon-shaped temple. There are three gates in front of the ancient temple: the stone plaque in the middle gate is "Qinglong Ancient Temple". Gate couplet: The boat is a shuttle across the river, and the tower is a pen to write the articles in the sky. Since both the boat and the Phoenix Pagoda can be seen in front of the temple, people were impressed and read it for a while. The side gates on both sides of the main gate of the temple are smaller. The stone plaques on the gates are engraved with "Chongde" and "Yijiang" respectively. The statue of Saint King Anji in the temple is covered with a yellow embroidered gold thread dragon robe and a crown. The golden body is eight feet high and is carved from hard nanwood. But it wasn't the little statue that Shi Suoxue brought from Yunnan. The little statue was previously placed in the Xie's Ancestral Hall at the South Gate. It is said to be well preserved. The statue of the holy king in the temple is much larger than the statues of the first lady and the second lady on both sides to demonstrate the sacredness of martial arts. There are also Xianshi Palace and official hall in the temple. Tips: Qinglong Temple usually has no lively scenes, but summer nights have become a good place for people to enjoy the shade. In the first month of every year, Qinglong Temple has a large-scale worship activity, the scene is very spectacular, especially at night, it maintains strong Chaozhou folk customs, which is worth watching.
