Small Potala Palace in the Eight Outer Temple of Chengde. In the thirty-fifth year of Qianlong (1770), in the sixtieth year of Qianlong's birthday, the Mongolian and Tibetan Lord monks came to Chengde Xinggong Palace to celebrate his birthday. Emperor Qianlong ordered the construction of Lama temples, namely, to appease and comfort the King of Saiwaifan, and to place Lama monks to sing their lives for themselves and their mothers. The temple is constructed in the form of Tibetan temple, without axis. The blockhouse, Vatican Pagoda, Stele Square and Monk House are built according to the mountain situation, with bright and bright colors and red and white matching. More core buildings are painted with gold platinum roof, showing off to the utmost. The Temple named Putuo Zongcheng is famous for its worship of Guanyin Bodhisattva and its architectural style is similar to Tibet's Potala Palace, which is popularly known as the Little Potala Palace. The temple is lofty and covers a vast area. It is the largest temple in the eight outer temples.
Puning Temple is the preferred temple in Waiba Temple. It is magnificent. Thousand-handed Guanyin is very shocking. There are many lamas praying and praying in the main hall. They can ask for signatures and return their wishes. There are many pilgrims in the main hall. There are also many secluded places, quiet and elegant.
Waiba Temple, as a part of the Eight Temple Scenic Spots outside Chengde Summer Resort in Hebei Province, has been approved by the State Council to be listed in the first batch of national scenic spots. In December 1994, Waiba Temple and Summer Resort were included in the World Cultural Heritage Site.
Outer eight temples include Putuo Zongcheng Temple, Xumi Fushou Temple, Puning Temple (Great Buddha Temple), Puyou Temple (most of which have been destroyed), Pule Temple (Round Pavilion), Anyuan Temple (Fang Pavilion). The small Potala Palace and the Panchen Palace are joint tickets, which can be traveled by free battery car. Puning Temple is also known as the Great Buddha Temple. The thousand-handed Guanyin wood carvings in the temple are very spectacular. There are lamas working in the temple. The Puyou Temple next door was basically destroyed. It's not very beautiful. Anyuan Temple, also known as Yili Temple and Fangting Pavilion, is 600 meters away from the entrance of Kuanhammer Peak. It is a little far to walk on hot days. The maintenance of the temple is not very good, only the first floor is open. Pule Temple, also known as the round pavilion, resembles the structure of the Temple of Heaven. It is rare to worship the Joy Buddha. I bought a couplet ticket just to see the two temples. That's okay.
With the Summer Resort as a world cultural heritage, it is distributed around the mountain with different shapes, mostly built during the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It is mainly used by the emperor of Qing Dynasty to meet the leaders of minority nationalities in Northwest China. Therefore, the style of monasteries mostly incorporates the characteristics of various ethnic regions, and is a rare religion and humanistic building.
Outer Eight Temple is the Eight Temples distributed outside the Summer Resort. I know that the Little Potala Palace and the Panchen Xinggong Palace are in the north of the Summer Resort, the Puning Temple is in the northeast of the Summer Resort, and the Pule Temple is in the east of the Summer Resort. The first three temples are the most famous. Their architectural style has the characteristics of Tibetan Buddhism. They are magnificent and worth visiting. I give them five star rating.
Outer Eight Temples refer to eight Royal temples outside Chengde Summer Resort. The Qing Dynasty royal family worshipped Buddha and preferred Tibetan tradition. This is vividly demonstrated in Outer Eight Temples, but the best ones are Putuo Xumi and Puning Three Temples.
Only went to the Little Potala Palace. The tickets were expensive, 80 yuan, not worth it. The scenery is spectacular. It looks like the Potala Palace in Lhasa in the distance. But there are many guides at the entrance, and they don't know the regularity. Anyway, they came into being for scenic spots. And the golden roof, it's really shocking.
It is said that there are actually nine Waiba temples. I only see "Xumi Fushou Temple", "Putuo Zongcheng Temple", "Pule Temple", "Puyou Temple", "Puning Temple", "Anyuan Temple", "Shuxiang Temple", "Puren Temple", which are the United Front tools of the Qing Dynasty.
