About Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai is the largest city in Northern Thailand, located at the junction of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, about 900 kilometers from the capital of Bangkok. The city of Chiang Rai was founded in 1262 by King Mangrai, for whom the city was named. Chiang Rai is a quiet, simple town with beautiful green trees and natural scenery. It is the gateway to the Daen Lao Mountain Range and the borders of Myanmar and Laos, also known as the Golden Triangle where all three countries meet. The area is home to pristine mountain villages, the beautiful Mekong River, as well as the world-famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and Black Temple (Baan Dam).

Temple
Located in Chiang Rai County in northern Thailand, Wat Rong Khun is renowned for its stunning appearance. The Wat Rong KhunWat Rong Khun has a plain white base with silver mirror edges. From a distance, this snowy white temple shimmers. The temple looks particularly holy under the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds and the pool in front of the temple. Initially, you can see on the front side of the stone bridge that there are countless outstretched hands resembling the hands of people in purgatory. After crossing the bridge, you reach the main hall of the Buddhist temple. You can pray here faithfully. The whole meaning is that you have traveled from hell to heaven.

Exhibition Hall
Black House, or Baan Dam, was designed and built by contemporary Thai artist Thawan Duchanee over a period of 36 years. Black House is a collection of 40 buildings featuring a number of exhibits related to death and hell, combined with animal bones, hunting tools, antiques and specimens of primitive man, all integrated into various works of modern art. Baan Dam is the complete opposite of the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), a visit to each offering interpretations of heaven and hell, a contrast of good and evil. Some exhibits are still considered controversial.

Folk Village
The Long Neck Village is located in the northern part of Thailand. Among them, the villagers’ long-necked ethnic group is one of the ethnic minorities on the Thai-Myanmar border. They settled in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in northern Thailand to escape the war. The long neck is a branch of the Karen and is called the Batang in Thailand. The Batang girls are not only hospitable, but also very cute. From the age of five, the Ba Dang girl must wear a copper ring to raise the neck, and then raise it every two years until she is 25 years old.

In addition to watching the black temple, the blue temple, and a temple is famous, the black temple Thawan Duchanee and its disciple (and friends) - Chalermchai Kositpipat - another commercially successful Buddhist artist, inspired by him, from 1996 At the beginning of the year, the white temples that were still unfinished today were created and dedicated to their kings and queens. The two temples are only a half-minute drive away. They are independent and different from each other, looking at each other. From a certain point of view, it is only an accident in art creation, but because of the black and white echo, it will eventually become a landscape where people talk and dance together. It is generally believed that the white temple depicts a variety of paradise themes, the designer of which is to promote the religious concept of abandoning evil and good, and on the other hand to promote tourism; and the black temple is full of animal remains and other elements of death. By the public, the default is to show hell. Even the traditional colors of black and white are easily reminiscent of the world of ghosts and gods such as black and white impermanence. The most famous of the White Temple is the toilet inside. It may be the most luxurious and luxurious thing I have ever seen. I must go to the last time. The reason why the White Temple is able to shine with silver, is derived from tens of thousands of lenses, each of which is polished separately. Whether it's a dragon or a god Buddha, these small lenses are embedded everywhere, to every scale, every tooth, and even every whisker. After the entrance, the main hall is required to cross the pool and take a double dragon bridge. In front of the bridge, there are two patron saints screaming and guarding, and under the bridge, the exhibition
