Worship of the Lanna Kingdom's glory continues
We were delighted by this monument because it is small and less grand than other monuments in the north that are dedicated to Mengrai, the founder of the 13th century Lanna kingdom, its first capital ...
The dedication of the Thai people to their Kings is exhibited here with statues of animals that have been donated. The place is quite a sceptical within the town

It can be said to be a patron saint in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The square is quite large, and there are some elephant statues. Elephants are also the most important feature in northern Thailand. It is quite convenient to park at night nearby.
The King Mangalai Monument forms a large square with a statue of the king and a golden monument like a Chinese screen. There are many worshippers throughout the square, which symbolizes everyone’s respect for the king. If you have time, you can come here to have a fight. Card turn
The King Mangalai Monument is not very close to the center of Chiang Rai, so there are not many tourists here and it is still within walking distance. The original intention was a monument, but now some Thai people come here to worship.
According to historical records, the first Thai ruler was King Menglai, who was a descendant of the Taiming tribe in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. King Meng Lai established the present-day Chiang Rai City [the capital of King Meng Lai] in 1263 AD, conquered the Lamphun Kingdom in 1292, and later established Chiang Mai City in 1298 AD.
