Walking into the shop, the neat and tidy layout is small and fresh. The aroma of the fragrant waffle immediately makes you want to eat one! On one side, the staff is making waffle rolls and is quick to move. Looking at the freezer, I found that there are many flavors of ice cream, from classic to more innovative flavors. And some seasonal flavors will be introduced according to the season, which is very special. The ice cream is very smooth in the mouth, it is more natural without any extra additives, and it comes out with real ingredients, very good! And the store itself is very environmentally friendly, so don't miss the chance to go there~ There are three branches in Chicago. You can find the specific address and more information on the official website.
First time here. Long line only told me that what i had read was true. Unreal Ice Cream. A small was $5. it included 1 or 2 scopes, depending on what you want to try. the flavors are a rare mix. I had two copes. One was Ndali Estate Vanilla bean. Made from a special vanilla bean, with a hint of Jasmine and honey. Good flavor, but i could not detect the jasmine. However, the wildberry/ Lavender was amazing. made with blackcurrents, cream, lavendar, and orange. All flavors melded together perfectly. We also had the Atlantic beach pie. it was made with sweet cream, tart lemon pudding and saltine gravel. this was also a wonderful flavor. Right on Milwaukee Ave. Parking is on the street, but can be a challenge.
You really can't go wrong with Jeni's Splendid. IT's amazing ice cream. I've been to more than one location across the US and it never disappoints. This time I got the vanilla with hints of Jasmine and the honey pistacchio. SO. FREAKING. DELICIOUS. I got in one of the homemade cones and it was just so tasty. My husband got the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate and the peanut butter and it was equally as good. My friend got the salted caramel and it was fantastic. The ice cream is a little pricey but well worth it. Such good ice cream. I actually feel like it's better at the scoop shop than if you buy a pint of it. There will be lines, be warned.
Jeni's should be somewhere in Italy... Their ice cream is of superb quality. The selection of flavors is innovative and fun. Highly recommend !
While visiting family, we went shopping along Milwaukee Avenue and stopped in Jeni's for dessert. We were very glad we did! They offer half scoops, which is just right if you are watching your calories. Sadly, we all decided that 3 half scoops was just right. The ndlai estate vanilla bean and the pistachio were hits with the 4 of us, as was the terrone and the wild berry lavender. Their ice cream is very rich, smooth, and creamy. I look forward to another trip to Wicker Park and some more Jeni's ice cream. After all, there are many more flavors to sample!!
