Easy to navigate, beautiful exhibits; didn't have time to see a show but I will be back!
An interesting place, with a lot of history, science, knowledge and things to see and learn.
I've only been here a couple times and I love t every time. The sky room is where my rival schools prom is being held. It's beautiful.
Hop on the South Shore Line from the Miller Beach Train Depot (2 miles from Miller Beach Dream Retreat)--30 minute train ride.
Confession: I have the shortest attention span in the universe when it comes to museums. But! The planetarium kept me engaged far longer than any other museum I've ever been to. The films, especially, are really well done. Make some time to sit in a dark theater and stare up at the stars. When you're in town, look for Adler After Dark. This happens once a month; it's a 21+ event on a Thursday night, and it's a whole lot of fun. Bring a date!
The Adler Planetarium is easy to spot on the Chicago skyline, but inside is a hidden treasure trove containing the mysteries of space. For imaginative children and adults alike, the theatre is probably the best part. You can recline back and stare up into the cosmos. Truly a humbling yet informative experience
I'm not sure I would rate this the best value for the ticket price, but I could see how you could make a day of it if you have small children. I think some additional exhibits would be useful in helping to fill the time between planetarium shows. again, probably really great for kids since there was a lot that appealed to young students and families.
