The best way I can describe this bar is a cheaper and more fun version of Dave & Busters. All of the games are free and the drinks prices are not crazy expensive. They have two rooms filled with different games, a dance floor, and a couple of bars. I went the weekend that Star Wars VII premiered and they had life size storm troopers scattered around the bar. They were also playing all the star wars movies on the TVs. Definitely a great spot to hang with your friends!
You'd expect that with the awesome variety of free arcade and pinball machines here, they would jack up the cost of the beer. Luckily, they don't (you can get a can of craft beer for about $5--not too bad, considering what a typical bar charges). This place can get packed though, even on weeknights, so either head here early or be willing to stalk a game and wait your turn.
Such an awesome bar in Lincoln Park. It's a large space with all the arcade games and pinball machines of your youth -- all of which is free to play! The bar stocks a generous list of good craft beers and decent cocktails, which the other bars in the vicinity are not do good at doing. Perfect spot for groups of friends or a playful date.
Headquarters is the newest arcade bar to pop up as part of the trend that swept across the Chicago bar scene in the last few years. Known for its craft beers and vintage video games (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! NBA Jam!), Headquarters has quickly become a favorite among locals due to the fact that all of the games are free.
Headquarters Beercade is the bomb! The games were free, the liquor was ok priced but the times were good. This place is so much fun and I'd recommend taking out of towners here. The only thing that bothered me were the sticky floors, which if that's the only problem that's alright with me. :)
If you like beer or video games this place is a must visit! Be sure to try their buffalo cauliflower!
Great video game arcade bar that had an awesome costume contest during Halloween. Completely packed and a lot of fun.
