night at the museum
The staff is very kind, and helpful. I was amazed by the size of the collection, to tell the truth, I'd been lost in it, spending all my time to find my undersea acquaintances in the glass containers....
The museum deals only in dead fish forms in formalin which is not a pretty sight, albeit interesting to the academic/student. The collection would fit in nicely in a University hall or as part of a ...
Small museum about the Adriatic sea and its wildlife
Small museum depicting the animal life of the Adriatic Sea, with several displays of different kinds of fish. Noteworthy is the stuffed Basking Shark caught on a net in 2003 not far from Chioggia.
It has 2 bigger and 4 smaller rooms. Beside the basking shark it presents a lot of preserved Adriatic sea animals. The smaller rooms has some interactive elements especially for younger visitors.
Gives an interesting view of the Adriatic and the history of the fishing in Veneto. Unfortunately, the films are not underwritten with German or English subtitles.
