About Chongqing

Chongqing is renown in China for being a "mountain city". The brilliant nightscape of the town is equally as famous. The whole city is constructed on the tall peaks, low valleys and sloping hills of the mountainside. Many skyscrapers have an upper, middle and lower ground level entrance. When strolling about the downtown area, visitors will find themselves walking uphill and downhill along the undulating terrain of the streets. Central Chongqing is located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. It is also one of the important Yangtze River ports. The port itself has created its own kind of local culture. It can be said that the people here are similar to their favorite hotpot meal, a bit hot and spicy, and perhaps a bit prone to fiery outbursts. Leaving central Chongqing, there is an abundance of natural and cultural sites of interest. For example, visitors can see amazing geological wonders like the Heavenly Pit—the world's deepest sinkhole. There are also ancient relics and structures at places like Baidicheng Temple Complex or Diaoyu Fortress.

The ancient town of Gongtan, known as the first town of Bashu and the notes on the cliff, is located on the bank of the Wujiang River and is a model for the close integration of landscapes and ancient towns. The ancient town originated from Shuhan and was built in Tang Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1,700 years and is known as Qian Gongtan.
Gongtan is located at the intersection of Wujiang River and Apen River. Wujiang Xiuxiu and Apenjiang River are in danger. The two banks of the two rivers are both mountains and mountains, and they are very beautiful. Looking down from the sky, these two rivers are like two beautiful green cracks in the middle of a huge jade. Therefore, it is said that these two rivers were opened up for two dragons. The big one is the brother called Oolong and the little one called Aaron.
Stone Street runs through Gongtan Ancient Town and walks through the streets. You can see the past and present life of Gongtan. The famous Chinese painter Wu Guanzhong painted the famous "Old Street" here, and Gong Tan placed his homesickness deep in his heart. This is a faint nostalgia, not strong, but forever! Many of the hotels in
Gongtan are on the banks of the Wujiang River. You can see the karst peaks on the opposite side of the corridor. Compared with the karst landforms of Guilin Yangshuo and Halong Bay in Vietnam, the peaks of the Wujiang River Basin are more magnificent.
Cruise through the Wujiang Gallery, which is also the most worthwhile project in Gongtan.
Gongtan has a famous stone street, this stone street is the "Old Street" under the brush of the famous Chinese painter Wu Guanzhong.

Early morning, wake up in your sleep, Wujiang and the ancient town shrouded in the mist. Walking in ancient towns, such as walking in Wonderland.
