Nankai Middle School

Chongqing Nankai Middle School (Chongqing Nankai Middle School) is one of the Nankai series schools, a member of the Nankai Alumni Association, the first batch of municipal key demonstration middle schools in Chongqing, and a window school in Chongqing. Since its establishment, Chongqing Nankai Middle School has been known for its patriotism and high teaching quality. Chongqing Nankai was a model of basic education in China during the Anti-Japanese War. Chongqing Nankai Middle School was founded in 1936 by Zhang Boling, a patriotic educator, with the initial name "Chongqing Private Nanyu Middle School"; in October 1937, the school took over "Zigong Private Shuguang Middle School"; in December 1938, the school changed its name to "Chongqing Private Nankai Middle School" Middle School"; in December 1952, the school was changed from private to public; in 1953, it was renamed "Chongqing No. 3 Middle School"; in May 1984, the school was renamed "Chongqing Nankai Middle School". As of November 2012, Chongqing Nankai Middle School has two campuses (the school headquarters and Rongqiao campus), covering an area of 291,197 square meters, with a total of 151 classes, 8,787 students and 586 faculty members. In November 2017, it was awarded the first national civilized campus.
