The castle built by the Sultan in 1587 is located on the Red Sea of the Gulf of Aqaba. The castle has a huge royal badge of Hashim and a huge Jordanian flag flying on the square. Some parts of the castle are left with broken walls and mottled with historical vicissitudes.
