Church of St. Margaret of Antioch

Santa Margherita d'Antiochia The church is located in the main square of the town of Vernaza, Gullermo Marconi Square (Piazza Guglielmo Marconi). The Gothic Ligurian-style St. Margaret's Cathedral was built in 1318 on a rock in front of the sea and retains the 11th century architecture. The highly impressive octagonal bell tower is 40 m high and is placed on four old styles.

Looking down from the hillside, you can see the white wall of this church. The round dome is blue, very beautiful, and it is very eye-catching in the village. Next to it is the beach very lively.

Far from the church in Vernaza, it looks like a castle, a rounded top. There are murals of the Virgin. There are also many starry candles. It is like a beacon in the night to guide people.

This cathedral is also the largest historical building in the Cinque Terre. The church has a long history and can be seen inside the church. Many people will come here to visit, many Italians will come here, and many foreign backpackers.
