Built in the suburbs by the Count of Brighton's parents and sons, it is now a place for art exhibitions.
This is one of my favourite spots in London. The high camp Palladian villa, together with its beautifully-manicured gardens are much as they would've been in the 18th Century, when the building was completed. Today the grounds are strolled by face-lifted women with those fussy dogs that you somehow mischievously wonder whether they ever make it on to the menu in China or South Korea. It's a very calming spot and the open air opera performances here during the supposedly warmer summer months are always worth booking.
17th century walled kitchen garden of the nearby Chiswick House, lovingly brought back to life by local volunteers after 80 years of neglect. Vegetables, fruit, herbs and cutting flowers are grown in its premises with lots of local school-children and teenagers taking part in the garden's works.
The Earl of Brighton Tower is a not too tall building. Its architectural style is very classical. It's all private goods. Many furniture is brand new.
The Earl of Larkington is still a famous figure, the environment is very good, a lot of huge art exhibition area, and a large courtyard.
