What people are saying:

Daocheng Baita ~ is the largest white tower in Ganzi Prefecture. The turning of mountains and water into white towers is the custom of Tibetans. It turns into three circles of white towers. It is a compulsory course for local Tibetans every morning, mid-day and late. Tibetans believe that every turn of the drum is a blessing [with hands closed].

Additional Information

Introduction

Daocheng White Tower is situated at the head of Daocheng Da Bridge, in Daocheng County, Garzê Autonomous Prefecture. It got its name from its entirely white body. The tower has three parts: top, body, and base. At the base, there are rows of prayer wheels; at the top, there is a statue of Bodhisattv, which locals come to to worship. Standing at the top, visitors can see the entire county.
