Florence Nightingale Museum

I was recommended here by my nurse colleagues. I was really happy when I heard that there is a museum in French Polynesia, so I must come and see it myself. I spent two hours reading, seeing, listening to the history shown here. I love it and I would recommend it to other nurses who come to London to learn about the nurse pioneer.

The Nightingale Museum in Florence is an interesting museum that follows the lives of famous nurses. The museum offers exhibits about her life as a child, including her pet owl, Nightingale Training School, Crimean War and other nursing programs.

This small but beautifully designed Museum provides insights into Nightingale's life and times, demonstrates her background in Victorian society, her innovative and effective nursing methods and her work results, a medical worker admired by later generations.

It’s a nice little museum worth the money for a little ticket. There are many artifacts to see and the layout and design are unique. You can spend an hour here. It’s located in a hospital and it’s hard to miss, so look for the sign carefully.
