Johore Battery

We walked a short time from the Changi Museum to the Johor Battery. This is a very historical place. The big bubble of the Battery is imitated, but the scenery here is OK, the place is not big, just go shopping for a while.

The Johor Battery is a historic site, about a ten-minute walk from the Changi Museum on the side street. This was once the site of the installation of Singapore's defense fortress, with some huge artillery, the fort painted green for concealing weapons, not enough for most of the modern reconstruction

At the Johor Battalion, a replica of the weapons used in defending Singapore was seen and touched. There are only seven such weapons in the world, five of which are in Singapore. The view of real pictures of British soldiers was partly one of the reasons Churchill called Singapore an indestructible fortress.

A short walk from Changi Chapel Museum, the Johore Battery is a fascinating historical site located within DuitSG eatery, which itself is an interesting restaurant destination. Free entry , but note this is subject to operating hours of the restaurant.

The Johor Battalion was the British artillery for Singapore defense during World War II. It was all facing the sea. At that time, it had been destroyed. The remnants were only replicas. The Battalion was rusty. I also saw a pit for storing ammunition. The surrounding environment was very quiet. No tourists, you can take your children to see, it is a good red education base.
