One of a number of such towers around the island. Has an interpretation board giving some history of it. Small car park and access to the beach and a small gardens.
On the drive back to St Helier we stopped at Le Hocq Point and had a pleasant walk on the shingle on an almost lunar landscape. Took a shot of the Martello tower.
There are several old towers that the guide showed us as we drove the island. This one is in good shape for the age and I loved the history of it. Very nice.
I visited this site during a Jersey Christmas break , and it's a good piece of history. Built in the late 18th Century, it also guarded against any French invasion during the Napoleonic Wars. If you d...

Very interesting scenery

Impressive
Nice tower to look at and an interesting beach with lots of shells and pebbles. Tide goes out a lot way so lots to explore.
