LOU LIM EOC GARDEN
Located in the middle of Macau Peninsular at the northern foot of Guia Hill, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden (in Portuguese: Jardim Lou Lim Ieoc) covers an area of 1.78 hectares with scenic landscapes. This elegant garden was modeled after Suzhou Lion Grove Garden, one of the four most famous classic gardens in Suzhou, being the only one with Suzhou classical garden style in Macau. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was once named "Entertainment Garden" and hailed as one of three famous gardens of Macau many years ago. And in 1992, it was rated as one of Macau’s eights sights. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is a great place for sightseeing as it has quaint moon gate, shady walkways, grotesque rocks of man-made hills, bamboo groves, towering banyan tress, winding corridors, elegant pavilions, spattering waterfalls, ponds with green lotus, etc. The waterside pavilion is the centerpiece of Lou Lim leoc Garden. Despite it is a traditional Chinese architecture, some western architectural elements are embedded in, such as the external wall painted in light yellow, the favorite color of Portuguese, gothic porticoes, white European-style carvings at the top of porticoes. The barrier close to the pond is painted red, China’s favorite color. This building reflects the fusion of oriental and western cultures.

Located on the Macau Peninsula, Lu Lianruo Park is the only Sukeng garden design style park in Macau. The park integrates southern European architecture. Entering Luyuan can temporarily stay away from the hustle and bustle, with rockery stones and pavilions everywhere. Sitting in the pavilion listening to birds and flowers can be relaxing. The Macau government will put large lighting in the Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival to add a festive atmosphere and let citizens and passengers punch in.
Lu Lianruo Park is located in the middle of the Macau Peninsula, in the north of the Yangshan Mountains, at the junction of Raoli Old Road and Dutch Garden Road, with a total area of 1.78 hectares. The scenery in the park is picturesque, and it is a elegant, beautiful and quiet Jiangnan scenery. It is quite the pattern of Suzhou Lion Forest, giving people a feeling of "small and medium to see big". It is the only park in Hong Kong and Macao with Suzhou garden charm. Free!
I always went here. This is the place that will enhance your emotions. You wont expect you will see such environment in a fully developed area.
Lu Lianruo Park, also known as Lu Yuan or Lu Jiu Garden, is named after Lu Lianruo, son of Lu Chuo, a wealthy Chinese businessman in the 19th century. It is the only Suhang garden design style garden in the Macau Peninsula. The garden is full of pavilions, pond bridges, cave waterfalls, strange rocks, winding corridors, showing the biggest characteristics of Suhang gardens. At the same time, the park still integrates southern European architecture, such as spring straw halls and fences, reflecting the blending of Chinese and Western culture in Macau. Lu Chuozhi (also known as Lu Huashao) was ordered to build the garden on the low-lying muddy lot, and his son Lu Lianruo was ordered to build the earth in the garden until it was completed in 1925. The "Spring Caotang" in the park was the place to receive visitors that year. After Lu Lianruo died, some of the lot was sold and purchased by the then Macau government in 1973. After the renovation, it was opened to the public and became a good place for the public to play.
I enjoyed the mini cable car ride and the light house at the top, very refreshing 😊
Lu Lianruo Park was once a private garden, and now it is open for public use. There are many plants in it, there are lotus ponds, there are fish and turtles and other creatures, and it is a very beautiful place.
