Mabian Dafengding Nature Reserve

Mabian Dafengding Nature Reserve is located between Waxi Township and Yonghong Township, Mabian County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Meigu in the west, and Leibo in the south. It covers an area of about 38 hectares. The highest peak is 4,042 meters above sea level and the gap is 3 kilometers. The area is home to rare plants at the national level of lizards, water green trees, lizards, and fragrant trees at the first, second and third levels. There are national-level giant pandas, antelopes, and Sichuan mountain birch. The core area is not open to the outside world. It was established in 1978 with the approval of the State Council.

Mabian Dafengding Reserve was established in 1978 with the approval of the State Council to protect rare and endangered wildlife such as giant pandas, yaks, lizards, water green trees and their natural ecological environment as forest and wildlife types.
