Popeye Village, where fairy tales shine into reality
After more than three years, I finally returned to Europe, and this time my destination is the pearl on the Mediterranean - Malta.
Upon arriving in Malta, my first stop was this Popeye Village. This is a dreamy tourist spot themed around the cartoon character Popeye. It really is a place where fairy tales can shine into reality and return to innocence.
❤️Recommendation
Popeye Village is located at the northwest end of the main island of Malta, connected to Anchor Bay. If you come here in the summer, you can go swimming directly, but remember to bring your swimsuit.
The movie 'Popeye' starring Robin Williams was also filmed here.
The entire village is themed around Popeye and other classic cartoon characters, presenting a colorful, nostalgic, quirky, fun and interactive dreamlike village. Everyone can enjoy Popeye's wooden houses, stages, theaters, etc., as well as various entertainment projects and performances, allowing visitors to experience the fantasy world in the movie.
📸Shooting Tips
1. After arriving at Popeye Village, go to the cliff opposite to shoot the panoramic view of the sailor village. But now there is a wire fence, not suitable for shooting people
2. After entering the village, you can take photos with various cartoon characters
3. Good weather is crucial, the entire village is very saturated.
⏰Tour time: 2-3 hours
🎫Ticket price: 22 euros
📍Navigation: Popeye Village
🚗Transportation: It is recommended to take a taxi (more than 20 euros) or drive from the capital Valletta or Sliema. If you take a bus, it costs 2 euros per person, but it takes a long time and you have to walk about fifteen minutes after getting off the station.
Amazing attraction in Malta. It is a very well-rounded attraction where you can find intellectual and fun tour or you just want to chill and play some water activities. Highly recommended!!
Malta's Villiers Village, this is a beautiful and moving place with infinite scenery. Villiers, is an image in the movie. After eating spinach, it becomes a powerful character image. It is really beautiful.
In the Disney cartoon fairy tale, there is a spinach and the power of the "Village of the Villiers", and Malta actually built a "Villiers Village" according to the fairy tale. The village has a barber shop, bakery, sawmill, post office, fish shop, shoemaker shop, and after the filming of the real-life version of the Hercules film, these scenes are completely preserved.
Really very good, very powerful place, will consider going again in the future. really good. It is a place worth going, really good.
stayed outside and enjoyed the view from the lookouts! looks stunning from the top.
The village is ok. The area is really beautiful and you can visit without paying to go inside Popeyes village. the park itself is more for kids.
I have been there last year and I spent a great time! nice attraction for both adults and kids!
