The Cornish Miner monument is very prominent as you arrive into Kapunda and worth a stop to see a little of the history of Kapunda and the olethe Cornish miners played in mining copper way back.
When you are a kid you navigate your childhood reading always wondering if giants really exist... and if they do... what would they look like? I think they would be like Map. Bold with a purpose. ...
Visited on Wednesday 11th March. Very interesting and well worth checking out. Info boards give you the history of the town and connection with Cornwall UK.
A large statue of one of the old Cornish Miners that originally settled in the region. Stands amongst the ruins of some buildings. Also has a rest area here as well. Quite lovely actually.
